I havent seen the fight yet,,,,but am both surprised and impressed that he battered and dominated savareese. I thought sav would at least be somewhat competitve. I still cant see him beating either chageav or sultan,,,,I think theyre both just too quick and active for holy but Im glad holy had a good performance tonite
Holyfield Looks "Real" in Battering Savarese

To be fair that was many years ago and that was a 217 lb version of James Toney that would've beaten any of the current champions.
Holyfield is shot and the only chance he has is against Sultan, other then that he losses to the other 3 guys.Comment

Savarese has a lot of heart, but otherwise he never was much of a fighter. Holyfield will not defeat a prime top heavyweight like Brock or Chagaev. He is healthy and fit though, and so there is no reason he can't continue to fight opponents near his own age like McCall or Mercer.Comment

yes no chance against klitschko or chagaev, ibragimov i don't know onluy saw him against briggs, and that fight was crap. But i think he may have a good chance against maskaev. maskaev has a weak chin, and never impressed me, but he may get knock out by peter.Comment

I saw the fight from the 9th row. Savarese was a difficult opponent because of his heighth, reach, active jab, and hard straight right. He gave Holyfield a good fight. For his part, Holyfield was not the old aggressive fighter he used to be and spent too much time moving around, and not enough time pressing Savarese and throwing punches. Anyway, both were in good shape for their ages and would beat most of the heavies out there today, but I don't think Holyfield could beat any of the champs based on this performance. Not enough artillery. It was an exciting fight BTW and the card was well worth the money.....Comment
