    I Khan Crack Usa

HE'S had a taste, and now Amir Khan wants to be as big in America as Ricky Hatton.

Hatton is known by every Stateside fight fan after last weekend's demolition of Jose Luis Castillo in Las Vegas and Khan is also beginning to make a name for himself across the Atlantic. He was mobbed when he attended Floyd Mayweather's win over Oscar De La Hoya last month in Vegas and dreams of emulating Hatton by topping the bill in the US.

"Being there for that fight definitely whetted my appetite," said the Olympic silver medallist. "Ricky Hatton is at that level now fighting over there. Hopefully I'll be doing that as well in a few years when I become world champion."

Khan, 20, can move closer to fulfilling his dream by beating Commonwealth lightweight champ Willie Limond at the O2 Arena on July 14.

do you think he make it in the usa?

Yes, I just hope Warren doesn't hold him back by repeatedly matching him with weak opponents, because he needs to fight decent opposition in order to improve. He will easily defeat Limond next month, and show he's ready to move up.

I think the same way. Warren likes to protect his fighters. I feel Khan could have success in the states, but with Warren as his promoter I doubt he fights in the states anytime soon, unless it's a against an easy opponent.

I'm sure he can hes got loads of talent. Its hard to say @ this point cuz hes still green. We dont know how his chin or power will face up to the big dogs.

Hes in a tough class, but hes got good advantages...height, reach, skills.

He should start fightin in the states asap so he doesnt get labeled as a towny fighter.

Is he officially a Lightweight? I noticed on boxrec that his last fight was at 137lb, Light Welterweight territory. It's obvious which division he'd find more competitive and potential fights with one of the Diaz's or a Brit battle against Thaxton is too much too pass up.
