  • Luan Krasniqi vs. Tony Thompson: Who Wins?

Luan Krasniqi will face Tony Thompson in Germany on July 14 to determine the next mandatory challenger for the WBO heavyweight title. This is a fairly even matchup and I think it's an interesting fight. Thompson is a little underrated by some people.

Who do you think will win and why?

Canada, you should have included an option "who gives a ****" because both of these hw fighters are downright boring. Stick with the Povetkin threads!!!

I like Thompson by UD......maybe....but it is in Germany so he will probably get robbed like most do.Krasniqi is no doubt a good fighter but I think Thompson is gonna be too slick for him.

I like Povetkin more than these guys too, Boston - they're both boring. But it is an eliminator, and one will eventually have a title shot at Chagaev/Ibragimov, so it's a fairly important fight.

By the way, the world's best heavyweight prospect IMO, Denis Boytsov, is fighting on the undercard, as is undefeated Alexander Dimitrenko. Their opponents have not yet been named. Source: *********.

On the undercard, two heavyweight prospects:

Alexander Dimitrenko will be fighting Malcolm "the showstopper" Tann (23-3), not a bad opponent.

Denis Boytsov's opponent is 6'5'' Juan Antonio Diaz (22-7), a former heavyweight contender who's had fights with Danny Williams and Larry Donald back in the 90's.

Anyone know of a internet link where I can watch the Krasniqi vs Thompson fight? I'm hoping either Dimitrenko or Boytsov might be televised too...

No doubt it'll be a boring one, but i like Thompson by wide UD. I hate Krasniqi, and i dont think hes talented at all either

I think it will be a draw! But as we know Luan is in hometown so he gets UD!

                  Or Thompson by tko!

Thompson will lose unless he knocks Krasniqi out. There is no way in hell he will win an eliminator for a title in Germany when he is fighting a German fighter. Krasniqi fighting for the unified title in Germany will sell better than water in the desert.
I don't see Thompson knocking Krasniqi out either, so it's Krasniqi UD in a "Natural supplement for sleep pills" fight.
