Im really starting to hate Ross Greenberg. If theres one fight you should take the short end of the stick on, i think its this one. Its such a meaningful fight, and its a FOTY contender for sure.

He said himself that a main goal for HBO every year is to have the FOTY on their network.

This fight means so much more then just money.

If this falls apart, how could anyone in there right mind continue to deal with this ****?

HBO is also making it difficult for Taylor to fight Pavlik, theyre giving Taylor ****ing less money for pavlik than he did when he fought Spinks

HBO just needs to make these fight happen. The fans want them and that's what should count the most, but once again when there a large amount of money involved, what the fans want is thrown out the window.

Spinks has a bigger name and more prior success.

HBO has to be budget conscious as well. But with Showtime scaling back their budget, HBO can pretty much name their price right now, because no one is threatening to take their big events from them... I wish VERSUS or Fox Sports or another network would see this as an opportunity...

They can, but I think Showtime won't be able to meet the 5 mill tag

Maybe just the idea of Showtime getting this fight would motivate HBO.
