That's awesome Robo! I wrote to Ken some years ago and he wrote me a letter back and was so friendly and outgoing. You can talk to him about the Duran fight, but he probably hears about that so much and plus it might be a sour note for him (I personally think it was a low blow, based on his reaction). Maybe you can ask him what his relationship is with Duran now, particularly that they are fellow Hall of Famers. He did end Carlos Ortiz and Ismael Laguna's careers, 2 legends in their own right, so maybe something about those fights. Ask him what his most memorable fight was, who he looked up to in the fight game growing up. Go over the book too...I'm sure theres some stuff in there that he could elaborate about some more in person. And dont forget to take some pics!

Buchanan was one of the best British boxers ever the mans a legend, he could throw 6 or 7 jabs on the trot. Ask him his opinions on current fighters and get some pics of him mate n post em on here. Him and Duran not having a rematch is a black mark against duran IMO.
Buchanan was fighting unlicensed for a time in the 80s in London and by all accounts was good at it. I hope hes keeping well and is making a living for himself.

For Buchanan my personal curiosity would be more of a technical question..

I'm wondering if all that pure talent comes from the body, or the mind. (?)

......Reading Duran's book I got the impression Buchanan may have been as close to having MDP's number as anyone alive in Roberto's prime outside of De Jesus..

Extremely hardcore **** if you ask me..

I was always impressed with Buchanan's movement. The guy could avoid shots and make it look easy.

                  Thats great.
Him and Duran both seem to get along well, they're both outgoing, fun and friendly people.
