George Foreman Was The Greatest Boxer Of ALL Time (Pound 4 Pound)

It's funny how people leave his name out of the mix of top boxers strictly because of his loss to Ali when it's been well documented that sleeping pills were slipped into his water resulting in the unconditioned, wobbly version of Big George we saw at The Rumble In The Jungle.

But all that aside, and keeping in mind that he would've walked through Ali that night had it been on fair terms, how many boxers can say that they came back to win the Heavyweight title at age 45? That alone is a truly tremendous accomplishment that will probably never be done again and only a top level fighter could've done something like that.

So keeping all that in mind, and considering how powerful and agile for his size he was when he was in his hay-day, i challenge you to name me just 1 fighter who pound for pound was as good as Foreman was when he was in his prime. Let's hear it because i think this is an arguement you can't win.

    In before Tyson and PBF.

I also think he was one of the best. He had the highest KO percentage if I am not mistaken.

Well documented? Care to provide some proof. Oh, that's right. We're supposed to believe he was drugged because he said so, 30 years later!!! LMAO!

Let's be honest for a second and look at this thing from an objective standpoint.

Looking at him as the good natured George of today that he his, do you really think him and his former management team would fabricate a lie out of left field to discredit the fight over 30 years later? I love Ali as much as the next guy, but realisticly there's no denying that a healthy George would've finished him before the 5th.

When I hear Foreman say that I think that he really does believe it, but I don't think its true. And if he was drugged I still believe Ali would of had him beat still. Stamina has always been his problem. But still, I don't think he should be discredited for losing to Ali. He beat many of the best, and could beat anyone today.

              Nah.

Ali beats Foreman ten times out of ten.

              I do rate Foreman though.

I think your right - Foreman was drugged. He'd easily destroyed two boxers who defeated Ali - Norton and Frazier. Foreman seemed at the time to be the best boxer ever - everybody thought Ali had little or no chance. What happened in the Ali fight, if you had been watching both fighters for the previous few years, made no sense at all!

Foreman won a title at 45, he easily defeated top boxers like Norton and Frazier, and he won the Olympic Gold in 1968. He is clearly one of the top five of all time, probably one of the top three, and maybe even the best. When he was robbed at age 48 in 1997 against a bum like Shannon Briggs it was one of the lowest moments in boxing history.

Foreman was one hell of a fighter, and no one forgets him, he is usually mentioned with the greats around the time of Ali.

But he lost to Ali because he wasn't good enough, his style couldn't beat Ali on the night, Ali had the perfect plan.

It's disgusting how ppl actually believe he was drugged b4 the fight.
