Dude...you have me laughing out loud. Well, I hope/predict Holyfield's gonna win also. I'm putting some cash on Holyfield even though the odds are probably going to be ******ed in Vegas.Comment

I think Holyfield will win, but I think the odds should be 3 to 1 for Holyfield instead of 10 to 1, so that's why I bet a little vcash on Savarese: I think I have a 25% chance of a big payout.
Holyfield has looked good in his last few fights, but I think he's been looking ahead to a title fight instead of focusing on Savarese. According to reports Lou is in great shape, and he's a powerful puncher, so he has a chance of stopping Holyfield, who's slowed a bit because of age and may be vulnerable to a big punch. It's a bit like the Brewster/Klitschko fight, in that Savarese has a puncher's chance.Last edited by Steelhammer86; 06-29-2007, 06:05 PM.Comment

To be honest, I don't see how Holyfield can lose this fight. Granted, he's way past his prime and has looked shot at times, however he's looked pretty sharp in his recent outings, has a boat load of experience, and is pretty determined these days to prove he has 'something left in the tank.' I think that he dominates Saverese enroute to a late TKO or wide UD.
I think the bigger question is: where does Holyfield go after this? All the titles seem to be 'occupied' at the moment and a shot may be later rather than sooner....Comment

The rumor I though was Ibragamov? But I'm pretty sure Ibi is the underdog in his fight with Chagaev...so MAYBE it'll be Holyfield vs. Chagaev?Comment

I don't know about this scenario; either one of these guys could have selected Holyfield as their first defense but didn't, because they wanted to unify instead. It's possible that after one of these fighers unifies the WBO/WBA titles they'll go after Wlad in a huge 'super fight' that's bout to make them rich...Comment

Don't want to see Evander fight again, EVER. The Toney fight was enough for me. Sure, he can probably beat hell out of 95% of the heavyweights out there, but I'd like to see him still able to talk (relatively speaking...Holyfield's never been known for his stunning intellect or for being an amazing conversationalist) by the time he reaches 50, and he doesn't have the size to absorb punishment waiting for those few good shots like Foreman could. He's not broke, has a good family and friends, and needs to RETIRE PERMANENTLY.Comment
