I was actually talking to a friend of Olajide's from the amateurs today about him. He said Olajide never really loved boxing but was forced into it by his Dad. He was supposed to be in the Contender Season 1 and probably would've won it too. He just didn't want to have his career controlled by the Contender people. It's a shame, but chances are he's doing something he enjoys more. The nominess for the wtf happened to my career award are:
Ricardo williams
Dominick Guinn
Panchito Bojado
H.Camacho Jr
Brian Viloria
Zahir Raheem (probably not his fault due to promoters)
Michael Grant
michael Bennett
Tokunbo Olajide
Vassily jirov
and the winner is .... you decide.
Michael Grant was pushed too fast and never recovered from the Lewis fight.
Brian Viloria seems preoccuppied with other endeavors outside the ring.
Ricardo Williams is in jail for ******* distribution.
Guinn got lost in the Arkansas lights coming out against Monte Barrett and never found himself again.
Camacho Jr, no discipline.Comment

guinn fought way too many amateur bouts, his last fight was almost bizarre the way he just took it up the ass against robert hawkins, never fighting back. i kept thinking he was just gonna break down crying like oliver mccallComment

I dont think dom guinn was ever up there to begin with. he was just ridiculously overrated by many after his big knockout of a shot micheal grant. I was never impressed with his skills and knew it would be a matter of time before he was exposedThe nominess for the wtf happened to my career award are:

Grant was never going to be anything, he's actually lucky to have fought Lewis and made that big payday considering Golota was beating the **** outI was actually talking to a friend of Olajide's from the amateurs today about him. of him then quit.
Viloria was never a blue chip prospect, he had struggled a few times on friday night fights and was even given a gift If I remember correctly.
Williams seemed to lose the hunger after getting a huge signing bonus after the olympics then getting his ass kicked by "Pollo" Valenzuela.
Guinn was the real bust, guy was about to make some noise after impressive wins on HBO then the guy who was so impressive was gone and never came back.Comment

Is his dad Michael Silk Olajide? Tokumbo plays the trumpet so maybe he's playing in the subways for spare change.I was actually talking to a friend of Olajide's from the amateurs today about him.
