If Mayweather fights Hatton, will the haters respect him?

I will say it slowly for you .Sorry but boxing is NOT only about what you weigh. It's what you can do at that weight. What made Hatton Hatton was what he can do at 140 ..... Hatton had difficulty doing that at 147 because fighters are bigger, stronger, .... 147 was all wrong for Hatton.
Hatton struggled at 147 then went back down twice before Floyd fought him. After Floyd fight, Hatton went down again for good until he came back from his retirement.
How can you say that Floyd and Hatton are two JWW with a straight face? So I ask you this, why did Floyd not make 144 for Marquez? Why was the Hatton fight at 147? That is none-sense ...... Floyd has been at 147+ since 2005 and has never come nowhere near 140 in those fights.
Hatton weighed 152-3 against Kostya , Castillo and Floyd , Floyd weighed 151 fighting Hatton .
Now what can Hatton box like at 152-3 , its what he can you do at a weight by your dumb ass reasoning , so what can Ricky do at his very best fighting weight ?
Fckn idiots in here and you one of the biggest , you dont know sheeeet about weight !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Comment

Its in the interviews post fight , Hatton also said that he would not be over 153 fight night on 24/7 or should I say his trainer said , who talked about Floyd being smaller the weight he came in at with Collazo was too high etc etc .
Its all there !Comment

How do you know Floyd was 151?Comment

Man you seriously don't get it or are you just pretending or is it that you must defend Floyd at all costs?I will say it slowly for you .

Let me know where I lose you .... if it's too complicated to understand:
- I will repeat, Hatton was used to fighting other fighters who weighed in at 140 NOT 147!!!
- Hatton and those other fighters he faced all faced each other at 140 NOT 147.
- Hatton can fight the way he fights easier against 140 fighters than 147 because 147 fighters tend to be bigger and have the experience to fight other fighters at 147.
- Hatton can try to fight his style at 147 and succeed initially BUT eventually, he will tire out because again it's more often than not, easier to do it against guys who weighed in at 140 at weigh-in than those who weighed in at 147.
- If you fight a guy who weighed in at 147 they tend to have better power than those who weighed in at 140.
EXAMPLE: Hatton, on fight night, came in at 149 (NOT 152-153) against Castillo. Yes he surpassed the WW limit but does that mean that he is a WW fighter? NO!!!! He is a 140 fighter that put on 9lbs overnight.
EXAMPLE 2: Castillo came in at 150 when he fought at 135. Does that mean that Castillo can hang with WW? Castillo came in at 153 also. Does that mean that he can hang with WWs? NO!!!
Hatton lived at 140. So most would understand that it would be more comfortable for him to fight his style at that weight. Putting it mildly, he was not able to as consistently at 147. How do I know that? The proof is everywhere. Look at stats and video clips at Hatton at 140 and 147.
Talk is cheap coming from RELOADED (eg. see CW bad for Manny, good for Floyd) ......Now show me PROOF that Hatton did better at 147 than 140 ........ GO!Last edited by ADP02; 06-10-2013, 09:47 PM.Comment

You are an idiot. Floyd had fought 80 percent of his fights at 130 when he met Hatton. Floyd was not the bigger man. Plus, and this is a big plus, Floyd asked for a fight against Hatton at 140 in what would have been Floyd's first fight at 140. Hatton's promoter turned it down! He said Hatton wasn't ready for Floyd, even though Hatton had over 30 fights at 40 at the timeMan you seriously don't get it or are you just pretending or is it that you must defend Floyd at all costs?

Hatton himself and his team refused 140 they said they wanted Floyd at 47 where they felt Hatton would be too strong and powerful for Floyd so I love when people keep wanted to tout 40 the best weight for Hatton to face Floyd. They wanted no parts of Floyd at 40 after seeing that gatti beat down. Same for cotto, he didnt want none eitherYou are an idiot. Floyd had fought 80 percent of his fights at 130 when he met Hatton.
