Hatton or Mosely would be the most likely opponent. Either fight would bring in a lot of money. I agree with -Antonio- that Cotto probably needs one more big fight to establish his name with the casual fans, but he is definitely the next in line.

Andre Berto is an exciting prospect but is still a few fights away.

Yep. If i were managing Mayweather i'd set up a string of fights with Mosley, then Cotto, then maybe Hatton.

If mayweatehr truely wants to be remembered as an all time great he has to beat: Cotto, Mosley Margo/williams, hatton.

If he beats all of them then he should be considered as a truely GREAT fighter.

        I say Mosley(Prolly a borefest)but interesting.

Then Cotto. I disagree that Cotto needs another name on his resume. He is legit. He has proven he isn't afraid of getting hit in order to hit the other guy and that speels trouble for Mayweather.

Hattons work rate and pressure also spell trouble for Mayweather.

Floyd really is in a ****ty position. The public knows he has dodged the meaningful fights-now it's time to put up or stay retired and shut up!!!

Call it a gut feeling but i'll bet my ass when Floyd does return- It won't be against anyone on your list!!!

He should fight Mosley followed by Hatton and then Cotto.

no matter who we want as the next opponent, it seems like it will be hatton. Mosely is just talking **** rite now...and I doubt they will fight..I see mayweather fighting Hatton...or maybe trinidad at 160 (as Mayweather had said he wants I believe)

I want him to fight Hatton to shut down some of the threads about the subject.

I would like to see him fight Mosely because I think Mosely has the best shot at beating him, but the atmosphere of the arena if he fights Hatton is going to be great. So I would like to see him fight Hatton a young fighter in his prime. If he were to fight and beat Mosely the excuses would be Floyds likes beating the older fighters. If he fights and beats Hatton that couldn't be said and most excuses would be reaching.
