I hear what you're saying, but not sure that I can agree. He could've simply asked Ricky what's at 140 that would keep him there, rather than beating him over the head with "You need to move up to 147 where the money is."
I just find it hypocritical of the media to bash fighters for their me-first, money-first attitudes, then in situations like this demand to go where the money is. I take further issue with those same people who bellyache for a return to the old days of one division, one champ - then when we get one, we're right away asking him to move up.
Finally, I'm just not a fan of Max the commentator. It's no longer an issue of getting used to the role. He is what he is; whenever he calls a fight, I get the same feeling as when someone's trying to push their religion on me.Comment
