    After an Amateur National Win....

Say you fight. Hell, let's say you fight really well, so much so, that you are participating in the National Boxing (WBC) Championships that they hold annually. If you win that as an amateur, does that automatically make you a shoe-in for the professional game? Or is there more to it?

Also, does winning an amateur belt mean much at all?

I'm asking this 'cause apparantly, a kid I train with is pretty damn good at the sport of boxing, and a rumor flew around that if he won another match, he'd be participatin' in the Olympics. How likely is that?

I'm not out to make a fellow teammate look like an idiot, but I take from your post that you have to make a clear cut team first then huh?

Is it a qualifying match, or a ladder type of tournament?

Danny Jacobs. Good fighter. Demetrius Andrade beat him a few months ago but he is a good fighter. One of the best in the USA. As far as making the Olympic team, it is far from just one fight, it is a long process. If u want to privaterly send me the kids name I will check into it in just a minute and I can tell you back in private message if he is legit or not
