At least when hatton fights there is action in the ring and excitement which cant be said for some top fighters who seem to be very boring to watch (a la Mayweather)

Why not ask the 10,000 travelling fans if its acceptable.

It's NOT illegal clinching, he leans and punches and sometimes grabs a bit. He throws eighty plus punches per round

I disagree with the Mayweather comment. Hattons last fight was unbearable to watch. Some of Mayweathers have been boring as well but it's like watching an artist at work. The Corrales, Gatti, Ndou, fights were examples of how a master boxer works

Hatton really doesn't clinch more than most boxers, and because he is very aggressive, he is more entertaining than Floyd Mayweather or Cory Spinks. If you count the number of punches he throws, it compares favorably with a lot of people.

Hatton is an inside fighter, because of his small size even for a super lightweight, he doesn't have a long enough reach to fight any other way.

              Haters, get off Hatton's nuts!

Deezenuts you say you hate Hattons style of boxing and i will have to take your word for it. But boxing would be boring if every boxer did the same **** and looked like carbon copies of each other. So the answer to your query, of course Hattons style is acceptable to us.

I cant agree at all that hattons fight was unbearable to watch. there was loads of punches thrown, both men landing , big shots landing. so there was some holding and leaning it was good exciting stuff. I can apreciate a defensive slick performance but its no where near as entertaining.

The Hatton fight was mildly entertaining, I suppose. I really enjoy the pre-fight and post-fight commentary and interviews or random fans and whatnot.

The segment they had on Mike Moorer vs. George Foreman afterwards was something I regrettably hadn't heard about beforehand, and it was quite interesting. What an upset!
