No one can come up with better one liners at the beginning and end of the fights than Larry Merchant.

The "Where have you gone, Joe Louis.." line was probably the greatest line ever.

The "Death of a King..." when King Roy died at the hands of Glen Johnson
was pretty good too.

Uhh you forgot the ultimate. Kirk Johnson comes in massively overweight, right after he gets KO'd by Vitali Klitschko "That whale just got harpooned".

I like Max Kellerman but not as a blow by blow broadcaster. Larry Merchant made the broadcasts more entertaining...

I agree. Kellerman is a brilliant journalist and great as an in-studio analyst, but so far I have not been impressed with him providing "color" for HBO.
