Bernard Hopkins: "I Will Punish Winky Wright"

They both dominated Felix Trinidad. They both claim to have been robbed of wins against Jermain Taylor. On July 21 on HBO pay-per-view, Bernard ‘The Executioner’ Hopkins (47-4-1, 32 KOs), 42, and Winky Wright (51-3-1, 25 KOs), 35, will collide at a catch-weight of 170-pounds. [details]

I totally agree with that statement. I also think Tarver is very over rated and not in the same league as Winky. There was a lot of options open to Hopkins for a comeback but I think he picked one of the few ones he won't win. Its Winky on points for me

Says who? Winky is strong. And who says Hopkins can hurt Winky any more than he can get hurt?

I think Hopkins will win, but I don't think it will be any more of a barnburner then other Hopkins-fights.
He will circle and shoot the right hand down the middle of Winky all night, and follow up with a hook once or twice too.
Don't forget, Hopkins is 42 years old, is fighting at a much heavier weight than his legs are used to, and have not had any interest in standing in front of people to trade for the last 7 years.

Hopkins will be on the move, while Winky will stalk him. At least that's what I picture in my mind...

is hopkins gonna be active enough to win this fight? he has no choice but to let his hands go i think, because winky will be pressing the action and throwing alot. its an interesting fight for sure. i wouldn't put a dollar on this fight though, its too close to call

hopkins MUST be active to win this fight cuz winky is gonna follow him around the ring with his turtle shell defense and try to counter him all night. bernard has to be mad active and show winky lots of different angles. i am excited for this fight personally.

hopkins is gon get executed by winky. forgetting the fact the man is old. (and he is for this sport) he's not used to the weight. man, winky is going to punish bernard. i think the worst thing a boxer can do is not realize when its time to hang em up. i think that will definitely be exploited in this fight right here. even if hopkins were to somehow deliver. no way he's going to punish winky though. that will not be happening.

along with barrera, whenever winky wright and bernard hopkins have ever fought, i haver NEVER bet against them winning, no matter who they fight, i always pick them to win, now with winky and hopkins fighting eachother, this is too close to call and a real 50/50 fight, i am going to have to sit on the fence for now and give my prediction alot closer to the fight.

too heavy what? Bernard been walken round at this weight if not heavier for years now..he will b perfectly fine with the weight issue..if their is any issue its for Winky..but i dont think weight will b a factor for either fighter..Hop will win, cause he is a master in the ring..i'm sure we will c a bunch of left hooks and right str8s followed later by turnen those str8s into right hooks 2catch winky cold in the 10th round..yup will n a ko this nite...
