How would the hitman fare with
the rest of the 140lb fighters,
    fighters comming from lower weights

    knocked cotto head off

    Paulie Malignaggi 23-1-5kos
    the ibf champion at 140

has speed boxing skills and lots
    of heart.

the wbc 135lb champion slick southpaw
that can **** too. beat up chico
and is a inch taller than hatton

I think he easily beats Witter and Malignaggi because his style is just too much for them...Paulie doesn't have the power, Witter doesn't have the will. I think he dominates Torres or Vivian Harris. Joel Casamayor is always a tricky fight he can box and brawl but I think as the bigger man Hatton usually imposes his will. Same thing with Diaz.
The bigger guys pose a problem. Cotto-Hatton is a pick em fight depending on the weight class at 147 I favor Cotto slightly. Mosley-Hatton is another great fight but again at 147 I slightly favor Mosley. Mayweather could easily make 140 and at that weight it would make for a very interesting fight either Mayweather by UD or TKO on cuts (his movement and timing are just too much).

I think Hatton pretty much manhandles everyone at 140.

He'd mug Malignaggi en route to a fairly close decision.

I think he'd wear down Torres with the body punishment...stopping him late.

Witter is a bit of an enigma for me, but I think Hatton would impose his will.

Casamayor would give him a rough fight, but he's not busy enough to stay up with Hatton.

Diaz is an interesting cat though. Diaz can best Hatton's workrate, but Hatton really smothers his opponents punches and I don't know if Diaz would be ready for that yet.

I think Hatton loses to Cotto, Mayweather and Mosley quite convincingly.

        Thats a fair assessment.

I reckon Paulie Mallignaggi (sp.) is the next fight Hatton will have- and it will be an easy pay day for Ricky.

Paulie has little power in his punches, as can be seen through his record and low K.O ratio. (i think he's only stopped 4 or 5 opponents). Hattons biggest weakness is the fact he takes alot of shots to the head - although in essence he takes 1 shot to give back 3 or 4. Without Paulie being able to utilize this, he doesn't stand much of a chance. Paulie is very quick though, but i must say his style very much resembles that of a very good amateur. It would be K.O to hatton, very early on.

As for Jnr Witter- Hatton will not fight him as he's not a big enough pay day although i would like to watch Hatton **** the smug **** all over the ring.

I have little interest in watching Hatton fight DLH - what i would like is definately Hatton vs Sugar Shane. THat would be a great fight

I don't think Hatton could stop Malignaggi unless he can trap him on the ropes very early on and lay down a beating to the body. Malignaggi has tremendous heart and got brutalised by Cotto and still kept fighting.

I think hatton would beat anyone at 140, i would say hatton cotto is a 50/50 fight, but i'd favour mosely and mayweather over him. He would give anyone at 147 a tough fight.

The Malignaggi fight interests me. Its a good clash of styles. Im curious to how Hatton would do against a pure boxer. It doesnt matter if his punches have no power. If he lands enough punches he will mess Hatton's face up.

I agree he's got great heart - but i just think Hatton is gonna be to strong and most of all be much more experienced than the Malignaggi.

After the N'dou fight, he said he would love to fight Ricky Hatton and said he was a big fan. I really like Malignaggi but i think this fight is too soon.

but its not that easy to hit hatton. he has
great head n foot movement. only time he
seems to really get caught is when he fights
on the inside when hes willing to exchange.
and i agree i dont think paulie has the power
to keep hatton off. not when zoo couldnt
                    keep hatton back.
