Can The Hitman find success at Welterweight????

Or,,, is he just too small to make a succesful run there. Here is the fight news top 15 rankings how do you see him matching up with these guys?

Cotto Very exciting fight but IMO Hatton would have to be on some serious steroids to win this fight

Mosley He would put a hard core boxing lesson on Hatton, have him out of there in 9 and snow boarding the next morning

Margarito Too big, too strong and a very tenacious inside fighter

Cintron I just dont know about Cintron, but if he lands that long right on Hatton its lights out

Williams Just for the size difference I would pay $50 hands down

Clottey Hatton should avoid this guy (see Corrales-Clottey for any ?'s) but there styles fit well together

Quintana This would be a good fight much like when he fought Collazo

Baldomir I think Baldomir is done at welterweight

Judah I would love to see this match up

Collazo from here down he is the favorite in my book
    Berto
    Klose
    Urkal
    Zaveck
    Hopkins
    Garcia
    Floyd Mayweather jr (retired)

as i said in another thread:

no, hatton has no place at 147. he rehydrated only up to 149 in his fight with castillo. so he CAN make the weight, but hes really too small for welterweight. cotto, margarito, williams, cintron would all crush him. mayweather and mosley would box his brains out. and i seriously doubt any of them are going to want to drop down to 140.

ricky should stay at 140, even though its no longer a great division. he could probly be a good welterweight, but against the elite fighters, he gets squashed.

Im not saying he doesnt have some decent opponents at 140 but he is a legacy type fighter and if he wants to enhace this eventually he will have to make the move , take the risk and fight the best at welterweight. Not to mention the big money fights outside of UK are at welterweight.

Ricky would make that WW division even the more interesting if he moved up. Like EvilSaint said he would have a tough time against the bigger men in that division. So he should probably stay at 140 unless there's a big money fight at WW he could take.

Ricky is fast, has an awkward style and some crazy bodywork. I think he could beat a few of those names you mentioned.
Margarito would be a nice fight.
