WTF was up with Joe Cortez?

I had stated that this fight was going to be determined by the ref. With all respect to Hatton, cong**** on his great victory, but, what the hell was up with Cortez? He stated that the trunks where high for Hatton before the bell rung. He warned Hatton multiple times about holding, but it is Castillo who is penalized for low blows (he only was warned once on a questionable low blow). Why so early in the fight? I thougt he was going to be a great ref but he was clearly favoring Hatton for some reason

Making up for Eddie Cotton's attempt to screw Lennox Lewis in the Tyson fight five years ago.

Na, I don't think so. But, maybe the overwhelming Hatton supporter crowd got to his head. Joe is usually a good ref but, deducting points that early to one fighter and not the other is just plain bias

          The point deduction was wrong.

I caught the rerun and he'd given two warnings. Though I agree, I think it was Dave Parris in disguise, LMAO, pwn!

I thought the point deduction was uncalled for. I saw the warnings, but the last one he got the point deducted on didn't seem too low and it was early in the fight to put a fighter down like that. With that said though Hatton landed a great shot and just was the better fighter.
