Hatton because he was already higher than Cotto and he has beaten more top-level fighters. Which means two.

Cotto, right now, is a star, and is on the verge of superstardom. He has much further to go in the world of boxing than Hatton. That's why I picked Cotto in this poll. Both are great fighters, obviously, but Cotto has proven to me that he is ready to take on the role of boxing superstar, and that is why I picked him in this poll. Hatton is a great fighter and his knockout of Castillo tonight was impressive to be sure, but Cotto is the better p4p fighter right now, and when all is said and done, I believe Cotto will be a name worth remembering.

I agree I think Cotto will be a name to remember, I also think that cotto is far more skilled, cotto is a boxer, puncher, he does everything right, and will be able to go through a couple weight classes, Hatton is a fighter, hes good where hes at but I dont know how much higher in weight he can compete at. but he does need to take a risk and show the world and me what he is really capable of.

cotto is ready to take on the role of a superstar, hatton already is a superstar and has been for years, just cause americans didnt think he was all that doesnt mean he wasnt, america isnt the whole world. i picked hatton cause he has beaten better fighters and is generally a better fighter, he was already higher than cotto so now he definately is

Cotto, Hatton's only two important victories are against 2 over the hill, shot fighters. He looked awful against a middle of the pack welterweight in Collazo, he can't fight at 147, he would even get beat by lesser guys like Quintana and Cintron.

He doens't have good punching power and can be hit. If he's so good come up to 147 and lets rumble.

Both should be in the top ten, Hatton should be higher then Cotto. They could bump out the likes of Calzaghe or even Barrera.

I can see your logic bro!!! IMO cotto should be because 1st of all he made his move up then stayed there!!! He will fight anyone and doesnt duck guys who call him out!!!

Hatton has beaten two legends but both were past their primes!!! So this evens the names on their list!!! Hatton didnt handle the move up well!!! He ducked Witter for years and Cotto just beat the man (Zab) who beat witter!!!
