According to English Lion Hatton only wants super fights. Malignaggi is nowhere near a super fight.

Besides, I always heard Witter was wanting him for the longest time and he was getting ducked by Hatton.

This is what I heard so don't give me some grief off of it.

Reality hurts when Hatton picks up fights with people at the end of their career.

Likely Lad, since he hasn't fought this guy yet I'll tell you he'd try to fight Oscar too just to beat up another old fighter.

Does anyone actually think Hatton could hang with true elites?

Is T-ZOO/Castillo his best wins on his record??

Malignaggi is a good opportunity to round off a career at 140 at MSG, a common opponent with Cotto and a decent springboard into Welterweight again. It's really in the hands of Dennis Hobson but Hatton's should act on his momentum now and make a title fight against a well-liked guy.

Oh and Hatton isn't ducking Witter, Witter is the only person who says he is and that's because Witter is desperate for the attention Hatton gets.

I would try and fight Oscar if I had the chance. He'd destroy me of course but it'd be worth a couple of mil. Oscar is the goose that lays the golden egg. You'd have to be ****** not to fight him for the payday alone!

Not trying to be an annoyance or anything but that sounds like Hatton and Mayweather.

Even as a Hatton fan you have to admit Hatton just won't shut up about Mayweather.

That's why Mayweather fought him, more for the payday than anything else.

If Mayweather ever does lose a fight (like he is actually going to stay retired) he'll lose because he doesn't love boxing as boxing is what put him into stardom.

He kinda ran out on it.

Kinda awkward making Boxing sound like a human being, but it serves it's purpose.

I'm not sure if Hatton ever really brings up Mayweather. Last night there was no mention of Floyd. All this "Hatton calls out Floyd" business was instigated by a direct question by that smug twat Kellerman last night and I suspect it is a question fielded by journalists who want a story more than just Hatton squeaking it out.

Witter on the other hand has built his entire career out of disrespecting and mouthing off about Rick. Hatton has gone on record saying that he doesn't want to fight Witter because he doesn't want to provide him with a payday. And Witter has responded by disrespecting Hatton even more. The tough thing to do would be to make a statement, carve out a career for yourself, but Witter seems happy to be in the Hitman's shadow. Witter's interviews after fights always commence with "RICKY HATTON I'M COMING FOR YOU!". Hatton only responds (quite cleverly) to questions.

there really is no good fights at 140 for hatton. he would walk through malignaggi like nothing. it would be a worse beating than cotto gave him. the entire division is just really bad and hatton doesnt have another name lightweight who will move up to fight him.

i would like to see hatton move up to 147 again but i think he'll have nothing but excuses again.
