When you first start boxing fights have shorter rounds for a reason and as you progress in your career the rounds become larger for a reason. How did you not find that fight entertaining? That's the real Ricky Hatton. All action, relentless pressure, throwing many punches... a variety of punches. If he hugged after only throwing a few punches like the Urango fight then i'd see your point.

But he threw so many punches, didn't take a backward step and sunk in some brilliant bodyshots. Hell, after Cortez warned him in round 1, there was no hugging for the rest of the fight. Hatton could cut off the ring on Mayweather and force him to a stationary defence which wouldn't be entirely effective against a guy that throws such a volume of punches like Hatton and who will rough him up and bully him on the inside with superior strength. It would really throw Mayweather off his game. If Hatton gets hit by Mayweather coming in, who cares, he's not going to deviate his attack and Hatton is very adept at getting to the inside with a jab and headmovement, he mixes it up sometimes leading with a left hook. Like I said great counter style.
