How good is Tony Hanshaw? Roy Jones July 14th opponent.

I see that he is 28-0-1. I tried to look for clips of him on youtube ,but couldn't find any highlights of him. Does anyone know how good this guy is?

Is he a good test for Roy to see how much he has left. Is he a pressure type fighter similair to Glen Johnson or more of a boxer/counterpuncher.

I've only seen him twice. And those were his fights in the Showtime tournament. The first fight he looked great really precise with his punches. Then the second fight against Mendy he looked very, very sloppy, and he and Mendy were all over the place. I thought the decision was wrong. I thought he did enough to earn a win over Mendy instead of a draw.

Against Roy I'm not so sure how he'll do. The way he fought last time against Mendy. It looks like Roy could easily outbox him and may score a KO.

mendy is super awkward though, so that could have been why hanshaw looked sloppy. hanshaw is kind of like a calvin brock, in the sense that he does everything well but nothing great. he has decent punch placement, solid defense, solid all around. but not great

Tony was also an elite amateur. I used to see him all the time at the Ohio State Fair, which he won about 7 times. He was elimated from Olympic consideration in 2000 by Jermain Taylor
