......Pac brings heavy offense and KO's when he fights. In the true fight fans hearts, he is already number one. If he knocks out another opponent in impressive fashion he should be the man. Mayweather runs to victory while Manny punches his way to it.

Cotto is the best right now, you can't be on top by beating a **** but compare to gayweather, Cotto definitely the best this is the biggest fight since the new year. quite contradicting... so who is the best then ! don't tell me is OCTO***** JOE CALZ..

Calzaghe is at least 5 places ahead of Cotto right now. You don't become p4p #1 because you partake in an exciting fight.

The only way Pac would move over Mayweather is with a dominant win over JMM. No way a win over Soto is enough when Mayweather just beat DLH. Ridiculous...
Soto is more in his prime than Oscar was against Floyd. Soto has more hunger than Oscar. Soto has argueable the same power as Oscar. Soto has more technical skill than Oscar. I'd give him the #1 if Manny beats Soto. Soto is argueably the next best 130lbs fighter on the planet.

Let's just remember. Floyd has never gotten himself in a fight that he knows he could lose. His chances need to be around 75/25 for him to accept or take a match. Not 50/50 and certain never in his opponent's favor.

Pac wouldn't move to #1 based ONLY on Soto. It would be based on an accumulation of wins. I've had Pac #1 since the second Morales fight. Some point to his losses but those don't mean much. The first was before he was 20 at jr. flyweight; the second was on a bad low blow on the other guys turf. There is no argument if Floyd takes one or two fights different during his abysmal 03-05; hell, if he'd taken Johnston instead of Sosa or N'Dou then Manny never really gets in the debate. He didn't; Manny did.
