The way to beat PBF is good speed & CONSTANT pressure.

Good jabs and body work with the above added will beat PBF.

Zab showed how to do it with speed in the 1st round. If Zab could have kept up that pace...well. If Zab fought like Castillo or Castillo had Zabs speed that would be the fatal concoction.

For the record, Ima big PBF fan.

Gayweather should have took up track running, He would have been good at that, then at least he could get some real respect.

i don't see any fighter from 154 down beating floyd, and there's some greta fighters at these weights, well, mainly 147. keys to beating mayweather imo goes as followed.

-you have to train unorthodox to throw mayweather off of his game, but not like to the point where you look very sloppy because he will potshot you and you will lose. you have to come in with a gameplan that completely confuses the **** out of him, but at the same time, have the skills to keep it up the whole night. stealing rounds against floyd is smart in doing this too.

-your stamina has to be at an all time high. floyd fights in stacato form like lampley put so well in his fight against oscar. he choses his punches wisely and keeps his stamina up well doing this, this is why he comes on strong during the latter part of his fights. he trains his body to go more than 12 rounds, hell maybe 15 to 20 rounds even, but he fights at a steady tempo, which is why you have to take control of the fight early on while confusing him, because of his ring savvyness. he knows the ring very well and knows how to use it as a weapon in a defensive form however. he fights off of the ropes well, but if you throw punches in bunches but in an unorthodox manner like faking a right hand and hitting him with a left hook to the body or faking a left hand and hitting him with a right hand upstairs, you will land some clean shots on him imo, but you have to be prepared for counterpunches and you have to use speed in this also.

-mayweather is very methodical in the ring. he can win rounds by doing absolutely nothing except controlling the fight and potshooting, which is why he is so good. his defense is excellent but he can be punched, you have to use combinations a lot against him, and you should probably switch your stance alot against him to throw his off and keep him guessing, because as the fight progressess he gets into this zone where it becomes his fight and it's up to him to see if he loses or not. you have to keep him out of this zone and play mind games with him, because he will play them with you. and he's fast as **** so this doesn't help you much unless you prepare for speed and throw with speed yourself.

in other words, you just have to have a great night, and be on point to beat mayweather, and this is not an easy task by any means, even at his higher weights. because power don't mean **** unless you can land it effectively and a lot because mayweather does have a chin. the best tool one should have against floyd is speed, not power, although power does help, speed is the factor, and you have to box differently the whole night, and keep him confused like baldomir did the 1st 3 or 4 rounds against him, but he lacked the speed. mayweather is a boxing guru, don't try to outbox him. i'm sure he spars with many different style fighters and prepares for everything, and even in his actual fights, he does something different. you have to be ready for this and his adjustments because he can adjust to any style, but if you keep him guessing, he won't be able to adjust to effectively, because your style will keep shifting to something else. he mostly moves very well and has quick upperbody movement, you will miss shots and you will get countered, don't let this frustrate because if you do, he won't give you as chance to break out of that frustration.

he's not unbeatable by any means, no fighter is, but he is very hard to beat, and i don't see anybody from 154 down beating him, but we'll see.

Maybe pulling a Hopkins could work. And by that I mean bully him on the inside, using elbows and headbutts, clinging on his arms and neck and making him carry your weight a little bit.
Punching him with straight rights, then go directly to his chest and start mauling him again. You would have to be strong and relentless, and you would have to make Floyd scared of being hit.

Now, you ask why wouldn't Mayweather take that deal seeing he's been calling out Mosley for years? Because now Shane will try and split the pot with him when Floyd is making far more per fight than Shane, and Shane fought the better fighter in Collazo than Mayweather did in his last bout at 147, Baldomir.

Basically, now that's it's fiscally convenient for Shane, and Shane realizes his career is winding down, that it's finally OK to take up Mayweather's offer. However, Floyd can see right through it because Shane's offer is completely transparent in why he is chosing to offer it now.
this whole situation is laughable at best. Who else could Mayweather fight that would generate as much excitement and money? Winky or Jermain Taylor at 160? yeah right. Mayweather chooses opponents based on two main qualities, risk and reward. The reward to beating Mosley would be eclipsing a fighter whose achievements have possibly rivalled that of his own, an opponent that is probably considered the most talented although somewhat faded he has ever faced. A chance to showcase his skills and take another step up the ATG list if he wins and especially if he wins impressively. Even if Mayweather would take an even split or short money in the fight It would be a slice of a large large total purse. Far more money than he would get from any other opponent at 154 or below. The risk, is obvious, he would be facing a guy who has all the tools to beat him and beat him soundly.

Mayweather's career strategy obviously mimics his fighting style; minimize risk maximize reward. On paper this is probably the only fight that could make mayweather the kinda $$$'s he thinks he deserves now, but maybe. maybe its just too much rick for the pretty boy. I personally think the fight is all but made and in the name of drama and marketing we are being duped by Mayweather and Golden Boy.

absolututely he has fought one guy with a great jab and when he used it he dominated Floyd. DLH as usual got tired. but that is a great way to neutralize his speed, frustrate him and set him up for combination punching. In fact I really cant think of anyone else Floyd has fought who you can say has a good/great jab like Hoya.

talk is cheap! when he pushes a signed contract in front of Mosley you can call it an offering. Its easy for any fighter to say I'll fight so and so but the devil is in the details.

The fact is Boxing is a money generating sport and many of the top tier fighters want to make top tier money, Floyd Mayweather is one of them so is Shane Mosely the fact is, Floyd is my guy, but if he ever decides to come back to boxing in order for him to quite the storm of haters he does need to fight Shane Mosely and or Miguel Cotto/Tony Margarito/Paul Williams, but will he probley not(all of them), Floyd is a smart guy and knows what works and doesnt, he's sorta putting on the Leonard act and its working, he'll defintly be back and im sure he'll fight Mosely if anyone.. and this will also bring more haterz to light if he does choose to fight Shane, Floyd will never satisfy his critics because after he beats a guy "PRETTY BOY" style theres always controversy or someone saying he didnt do this or do that and he wont fight a rematch and blah blah blah! The fact is this Floyd Mayweather is the P4P champ and could be the hier apparent to ODLH's saleing power.... So for the time being we all need to RESPECT that and when he does grace the ring with his presence again be satisfied that where even getting to see a fighter in this era with Ray Robinsom potential

I think mosely has all the tools to beat Floyd out of anyone...he can match his speed w/ extra power of course...he can go forward and cut the ring on him if he feels like it...he's as all around as u can get 2nd to pretty boy....and has the experience...

but...I question him being mentally strong (not frustrated, mind games)...cuz thats all it takes for him to beat Mayweather...
