    Cotto's low blows

The first low blow I think was unintentional. Cotto was indeed stunned, if not hurt. But I think he had his legs back when the low blow happened. Regardless; after seeing the replay, you can observe that Cotto threw a left hook to the body. Thats his money punch, he throws it all the time. When you watch the replay, you can observe that Cotto wasnt looking where the punch landed. Actually, Judah's head was between Cotto's line of sight. The second low blow was really low, and real bad. But after watching the third round, you can see that Cotto wasnt remotely hurt in that round before the low blow. You can say that it was intentional; and I cant really argue with that, because it was an uppercut right in the groin. But Cotto wasnt hurt at all when he threw that punch.

Did it change the outcome of the fight? I really dont think so. It was a matter of time before the accumulation of punches would slow Judah down, which is obvious that that was excactly what happened. Cotto shut down Judah from the fourth round on. However; you can argue that the low blow slowed Judah down prematurely, and if the low blows hadnt happened, Judah would have had 2 or 3 more rounds in which he could have hurt Cotto like he did in the first round.

I follow what everybody else says. With a body puncher, low blows tend to happen on accident. Look at Jose Luis Castillo. He throws them unintentionally at times, just like in the Corrales-Castillo fight.

I don't think the low blows changed the outcome of the fight at all. Cotto's punches to the head are what dictated the out of the fight.

Last year Vazquez copped a nasty low blow from Gonzalez and kept fighting and came back to knock him out.

Plus I've never seen a actor, oh sorry I mean a boxer carry on like that after a low blow.

Yeah, but some people can't recover from low blows. Its that Mexican pride that had Vazquez going. I know I'm black and all, but its seems like those who appear hurt or are hurt are black fighters. I.E. Rid**** Bowe, Mayweather, and judah.

Yeah, one of the reasons I dont think the outcome of the fight was changed was that Cotto was beating Judah to the punch. Was funny to watch Cotto constantly catch Judah ( a guy that a lot of people thought was too quick for Cotto) with his right jab all night long. That was real impressive.

A well timed jab can help nullify speed, something Oscar didn't do enough of against a faster Floyd. Cotto fought the perfect fight to beat Zab decisively.
