Harrison Cuello Shocks Edgar Santana in Three

Promoter Lou DiBella's Broadway Boxing events are being hit with a year of upsets. On May 2, Gary Stark, Jr. (18-1) was knocked out in five rounds by journeyman Andres Ledesma (13-5), who broke a four fight losing streak, three of those losses by knockout. [details]

Definitely, true. I'm thinking in NY only for some reason.

I got this in the mail from Santana's people
        --------------------------------------------

We first and foremost want to congratulate Harrison Cuello on his win. Edgar Santana makes no excuses for his lost, he was fully prepared but tonight Harrison Cuello proved to be the better man.

While extremely disappointed at the loss we see this as a temporary set back. Edgar Santana will take a rest and return back to training for another fight in the fall.

Santana's fans will continue to support his march up the rankings and he will continue to work to prove he is one of the better Jr. Welterweights in the world.

The loss while shocking to the team will not waive our confidence in Santana's skills or potential in the future.

It is now time for Santana to show the mettle he possesses by bouncing back with the same determination that has made him a fan favorite and respected prospect.

        Thanks,

        Team Santana
