Prime Kostya Tszyu vs. Present day Miguel Cotto @ 140lbs.

Who wins between these two brutal punchers? Common opponent Zab Judah. Thunderous left hook vs. Laser right straight. Both have strong foundations.

Man oh man, this is like a poor man's Duran vs. Chavez Sr mythical matchup.

I honestly don't know who comes out the winner in this one. I think I'll go w/ Tszyu. 'Cause he can box a little bit, the straight punch beats the hook, and Tszyu has a sturdier chin. There might be some kd's from both side or maybe this fight won't even go the distance.

Maybe I should not have bothered with which weight class they would fight in . Forget about 140 not being Cotto's best weight class, what about if they both showed up at their best shape, who would win???

The thing about Tszyu though, is that he is actually pretty crafty w/ his own "dirty play", there are some fighters who are just blatantly dirty, like Barrera, B-HOP, and of course IRON BITE TYSON(haha). Tszyu can get dirty as well, so Cotto should think twice about playing dirty w/ Tszyu 'cause Kostya will win the dirty play as well.

I think Tszyu would win in his prime.
However, Cotto is exactly the kind of pressure-fighter that throws Tszyu out of his gameplan, and he is strong enough too keep Kostya off balance and on the ropes from time to time.
Of course, the punching power and timing of Kostya would represent a real challenge any fighter, Cotto included.
Rarely have I seen any fighter with the surgical precision of Tszyu in his prime, and his millimeter movements with his head to avoid punches was just pure **** to watch.

It could be an early knockout ala Judah, but I doubt it.
Before the Cotto-lovers bash me, I suggest you actually look up some fights of king Kostya. He was awesome at his best, and one of my all-time favorites.

Tszyu walked around at 175 normally. He would probably be way too strong for Cotto if they just showed up in their best shape.

I think Kostya's jab and his boxing ability is a bit underrated, his boxing ability is what is gonna win it for him against Cotto
