I agree with that. He was better suited going after one of the weaker champions. Calzaghe is just too much.

did someone say PMj has no ams career?

Dude had something like 130+ wins in the ams. Kid has talent. Thanks to Lethal for making it crystal. PMj started actually catching Cal w/some shots before it got called. I think everyone knew Cals hand was broken before the fight and Warren and the boys saw to it that it would be a easy night.

        read the whole post:

peter gets bashed because he took the fight, sergio does too because he didnt take it....................
thats all i tried to say........

will the contenders get some respect if say gomez beats gatti, manfredo beats green and sergio beats ouma???????

i see gomez beating gatti very probable, yet, people that are saying gatti will ktfo gomez in 2, are gonna say gatti is shot if he loses(which he is, and thats why they shouldnt talk big before the fight......)

manfredo wont beat green so i dont have comments on that...

and sergio may be able to beat ouma, but people will say ouma is a blown up welter............................which he is(and thats why people who say ouma is eating mora alive shouldnt talk big before the ****ing fight...)

You're just mad that peter manfredo sucks, so you try to change the subject. And anyways Pavlik probably can beat Calzaghe, Calzaghe is old now. But it wouldn't be a walk in the park for Pavlik either, Calzaghe's hand speed would give Pavlik problems. And Calzaghe would have problems with Pavlik's power if Pavlik can carry the kind of knockout power he has up to the super middle weight division. I like both boxers anyways because their exciting fighters and not boring.
Was Manfredo overmatched in the Calzaghe fight? Yes. Could Manfredo have done more if the fight wasn't stopped absurbdly? Probably. Manfredo dosn't suck, lets see you go in the ring and fight Banks. He's a solid young fighter who puts on exciting performances, but still has a lot of room for improvement. Btw, I actually like Calzaghe, but think he needs to fight and beat a higher caliber fighter (Kessler, Taylor, Pavlik, etc) to really prove that he's all that he's hyped up to be.

Lethal is correct, big time. Just because no one knows your name does not mean you suck, it just means you have not had a big 'break' yet.

And Manfredo was bobbing and weaving VERY WELL against Calzage. Avoiding shots is in my book 'intellegently defending yourself', you do not have to just be punching back. That was a ridiculous stoppage.

Well, with the **** performance he put on last night. I doubt the weaving and moving would have done much against calzaghe. Calzaghe looked like he punched a million miles per hour compared to Manfredo last night

agreed such a bad performance... When Roach trains him he is a whole different fighter.. so his last 3 fights have been not so good..
