    Dont sleep on Castillo

Seems like alot round here are sleeping on Castillo. Ya'll arent alone, the bookies are too...

Yeah, Castillo is a bit old and his last 2 are a bit lackluster. Same goes for Hatton. At least Castillo didint almost get KTFO'd by a no-name welt. Lets be honest here, nobody really knew who Collazo was before Hatton fought him. Dude cant crack a egg. Urango? Uh...dude was like 17-0. No biz being in there w/Hatton. What is he Joe Cal now fighting prospects?

The problem is when you start touching Castillo, he starts fighting back hard. Not a easy guy to put on the canvas. Its in the states so the degree of dirt wont be to Hattons satisfaction, but let him try a elbow smash or try try to wrench a forearm. Castillo loves that **** and he might just throw you in a camel-clutch @ any moment.

I think the hype machine and the bookies got it wrong here. Castillo has more than what it takes to stop Ricky...and yes i did say 'stop.' I cant wait to see how big he comes in on fight night.

I say...Castillo will be 155-160/lbs by fight night. Any takers?

Let's just hope JLC makes weight. Not a given, even at 140. He was at 146 last week (according to him), so he still has some work to do.

I think people are making too big a deal about his fight with Ngdou, who is a pretty good fighter in his own right. Castillo will look as good as he did against Corrales imo.

As much as I would love to Hatton win By KO, I am calling this a 50/50 fight. Both fighters have had some poor fights recently so I suppose it depends on ho comes in the best of shape and who wants it more.

Let me tell you guys what it's all about, unfortunantly. Hatton is being hyped because they are hoping Hatton wins. "They" meaning boxing and it's promoters. Castillo is considered an older guy now with his best days behind him, Hatton is still undefeated with his best days ahead of him.

Boxing ALWAYS hypes up the guy they stand to make more money from. There is no future in Castillo the way they see it. Hatton on the other hand could still attract alot of attention in other big fights because of his undefeated record and the fact he's British. There are plenty of really good Mexican fighters around and you know there will always be a reserve of them. On the other hand, it's very rare that you see a really good British fighter come over to the U.S and make a big splash.

I think castillo will have to dominate or win by KO if he is to get the win. Because, you are right, they are giving Castillo no chance at all in this fight. Castillo seems to be looked upon as a stepping stone for Hatton and it's being marketed that way and by the looks of the numbers in Las Vegas, the boxing people believe it.

I agree, I think Castillo can muster up one last great fight. I wouldn't be suprised if Castillo won by KO and I'm hoping he does.

This is how I see the fight partially going:
Hatton will come in and try to stand toe to toe on an action packed 1st round. He will try to redeem himself in the eyes of boxing fans around the world since he's fighting in Vegas and all. As Castillo starts landing effective body shots and Hatton realizes that Castillo hits hard, he will rethink his strategy and in the fifth round, he will decide that it would not be a bad idea to clinch like he is used to doing. Now the rest of the fight is up for grabs........depending on what ref shows up that day and how strict he would be on the holding, that will determine the outcome.
