Kimbo gained fame through the internet and (if he wins) against Mercer then he might get a shot at some real UFC/MMA fighters.

Is there a real difference between that and Manfrey getting fame from a television show and getting a shot at Calz?

I don't think so. I think the UFC is starting to breakthrough more into the mainstream media and would be smart enough to not put Kinmbo on a major PPV card. If Kimbo was to continue with MMA training and fighting and was able to put together a string of wins then maybe he might be able to start out on some off-television fights but I quite frankly don't think that will happen.

No, they wouldn't give him a title shot. You have to win 3 or 4 fights against notable fighters to a get a title shot. Close thread.
