If Lacy wasn't, then it's you're tough luck. You Americans said he was.
This has nothing to do with Lacy. This has to do with Eu.

That was an unbelievable performance by Calzaghe that night. He beat up, humiliated, and quite possibly destroyed Lacy's career.

If Calzaghe beats Kessler, he's the best fighter in the 23-year history of the division by some length.

Better than Jones, Watson, and Toney? Nuh-uh.

He'll have beaten everyone of note save Ottke over a ten year period. What did Jones really do at 68 besides Toney? Watson's best stuff was at 60 and Toney had Barkley. Perhaps the word should be 'greatest.' A win over Kessler would make Calzaghe the standard, the divisions first truly great champion as opposed to just fighter.

Oh, I see. In terms of longevity and greatness and stuff.

(Watson's best work, by far was at 168 in one single, tragic fight/night)

I would have to agree with you. Toney and Jones had other good wins there, Toney beating Charles Williams and Tim Littles, Jones beating Sugar Boy Malinga and another notable fighter I can't think of, but neither made a lasting impact like Calzaghe has.

Kessler is a legitimate risk. Although I wish this fight was being held in a neutral territory, it'll be a great win for either guy no matter how you slice it.

                  Orange:
While I see what you're getting at, Watson's best night as a pro was at 160 against benn.

                    Eubank.

He has a better resume, was upfront.

Joe just plods along screaming about his legacy instead of taking it.
