    who has overstayed their welcome?

Seems like an awfully lot of guys boiling themselves down to keep their size advantage. Obvious ones like Miranda and pavlik but Id like to get everyone's take on who is either real close to or completely overstayed their welcome to gain the coveted" He's a monster at .....weightclass!".

There is no such thing as overstaying your welcome at a weight class.

        1) either your making weight and helping yourself compete

        or

        2) Your making weight and hurting yourself compete

Dont make excuses for guys who havent trained enough or dont wish to make the sacrifice to go to there best possible weight class.

Only other time a fighter should go up in weight is because of better possible fights at the higher weight class.

Im speaking of option 2 and yes there is suck a thing if it is limiting your stamina, etc.

              Ok, then...........

Actually JT would've been great if he would've stayed at MW-SMW but he just didn't have the discipline.

Hatton, after the Castillo fight there aren't enough big fights or big money for him at jrWW. Best for him to move up to WW or both his bank account and legacy.

Mayweather if he returns should go back down to 147lbs for the same reasons of Hatton.

I can't see how the monstrous middleweights like Taylor, Miranda and Pavlik are still at 160 (even though 2 of the 3 are moving up soon).

I don't know how Travis Simms makes 154 anymore...as most of his early career was fought above that limit (I think).

Margarito seems like he should just move his ass up to 154 already. Daniel Santos spoiled his 154 campaign I guess.

                Hatton and Urango at 140.

Andre Berto seems like he needs to move up to 154 already. He looks like Jeff Lacy fighting at 147.

I feel like Vic Darchinyan has always been too big for 112...Arce back in the day too...WAY too big for light fly.
