He is an exciting fighter, YES. But nothing special, I have stated reasons why Williams will win this fight, yet Margarito fans aren't giving me their reasoning to why they think Margarito will win it, the are just showing that they are fans...

    1. Williams is a Southpaw
    2. Awkward Fighter
    3. Reach and Heigh Advantage
    4. BIG fighter, Hell I think he can hang with the big boys at Middleweight, let alone welterweight
    5. He is the biggest fighter in Size Margarito has faced and he is a boxer puncher with skills, I see him using his height advantage
    6. Come 14th july, the punisher will prove something, I wont base it on how he was kicking margarito's ass in sparring, but 14th july he will come to prove something.

what will you say when margarito beats williams like nothing??

    1. margarito has been sparring southpaws to get ready
    2. what is so akward about him? he is just tall. just more to hit.
    3. he dont use his height. he fights to to toe and will get kod for that reason.
    4. valuev is a big fighter and he aint ****. size dont mean nothing when you aint got the skills to back it up.
    5. like i said he never uses his height. margarito will knock him out.
    6. margarito is the one who has to prove something every fight. he gets ko after ko and still the haters give him no respect. he will knock williams out and he wont get no respect for it.

That picture says a lot to me. If Williams fight a smart fight, he has no excuse for losing to this guy. Margarito is slow and predictable. Williams is not only much taller, but he's a southpaw who punches from all sorts of angles unlike anything Margarito has seen. The only intangible is Williams' chin, and I have no idea how good it is. Williams should box this guy and try to take him out late.

This should be like Lewis vs. Tua, but I'm hoping for a war.

From looking at the initial press conference pic I saw Margarito had a look of fear in his eyes at the stare-down. It was then i realized how much bigger Williams is over Margarito. Everybody is comparing Williams to Hearns (which is way to pre-mature) but they don't fight the same at all. Williams has height, reach, & his southpaw stance working in his favor, BUT HE DOESN'T USE IT!!! He is very inexperienced at this point (due to the "tomato cans" he's been in with over his 30+ fight career) & he gives up his height & reach by fighting toe 2 toe & always wanting to slug. His motto is "you got to take some to get some".... The game is hit & don't get hit!! I was not impressed with the Malthysse fight or i didn't like how lil' big man Mitchell was able to pretty much tag him at will with that overhand right. For a man that damn big & tall he gets hit WAY TO MUCH. I believe Margarito may not be the most skilled & most techinally sounded fighter but he has heart, chin, & hell of a will to win. Given that Margarito is a slow starter i actually expect Williams to be ahead on all scorecards by the midway point. Then i expect somewhere around the 8th or 9th round Williams is going to make a big mistake standing right in front of Margarito & Toni will timie him & take him out. For some reason this is a fight that possibly can resemble Taylor vs Chavez I. Now i'm not saying Williams awkard, volume punching style might not give him the nod, but from what i've seen in the past from williams & all these pre-fight jitters i've been hearing i don't believe he is going to win this one. I know a lot of people are going to disagree but that's my take on it!! Margarito (late) TKO over Williams. Let's just hope for a good fight

Wow, P-Will has more believers here than in the media. A poll conducted by Williams' PR team showed a 2-1 split in favor of Margarito.

My pick is Tony by mid-rounds stoppage, overcoming a slow start to prevail in a slightly more competitive fight than against Cintron two years ago.

Look....this is boxing....this fight could go either way really. Paul williams is the fresher, stronger boxer. Antonio has more fights under his belts against more experienced boxers. We know what he can do. We know what Paul can do.
No reason for all the bickering. We have 3 really good fights to watch on Saturday night. Lets just watch and find out.

trust me there is no fear in margarito's eyes. margarito has never turned a fighter down like a coward. he could have ducked williams to go straight to cotto but he fought williams even though everyone says williams can beat him because margarito is a true mexican warrior.

Where do they announce times/location for the weigh-in? The fight's happening in my home town, I have tickets to the fight, but I want to check out the weigh-in too.
