    Display of Boxing On HBO

those who watched the dirrell vs stevens fight saw what boxers should not do and what people hate to see.

those who watched malignaggi vs n'dou saw what boxers should do and saw that BOXING can be entertaining.

those who watched both should know what i'm talking about.

andre dirrell's "win" over curtis stevens was a horrible match. all dirrell did was put on his running shoes and jog all around the ring and showboat like a total jackass. not only did he stay out of danger, he stayed out of the fight, period. he blatantly ran like a rabbit and refused to even make a fight out of it. stevens should take some blame for not cutting off the ring and allowing dirrell to make an ass of himself. but at least he tried to fight, he was trying to bring the fight to a boxer who did everything he could to stay away. it was a disgusting fight and lennox lewis is a moron for saying that he would pay to watch andre dirrell fight. shame on dirrell, stevens, and lewis.

paulie malignaggi's shutout decision over lovermore n'dou was an entertaining and mildly exciting boxing match. paule didnt run, he kept enough distance to jump in and punch and stay just out of n'dou's reach. it was beautiful. he jabbed like crazy, threw beautiful combinations, made a fight out of it, took some decent shots, and looked like he came to fight and win. n'dou deserves respect, too. even though he was docked a point for rabbit punching in the 6th and KDd in the 8th, he kept fighting and even in the 12th, when he absolutely had no chance of winning, he kept coming forward and kept trying to tag paulie. both fighters made the fight, neither man backed off, it was a great display of boxing skill and technique by malignaggi and of determination and heart by n'dou. this fight was the perfect example that there IS boxing that doesnt have to be brutal to be entertaining.

however, paulie said that hatton took the easy way out and fought castillo whos past his best days. castillo is an easier fight than n'dou? if you believe that, shoot urself. hatton dropped a meaningless belt to take a superfight with castillo. thats NOT taking the easy way out.

Your right. Dirrell I wouldn't mind if I never saw him again on TV. Then Paulie put on a boxing clinic. Even though he doesn't have the greatest punching power he still made the fight exciting with his good hand speed and throwing punches on a consistent basis.

Why do you think boxers like direll fight like that? Do you think their chins are suspect that they know they can't box like paul malignaggi, because then they'd get their ass's handed to them?
