What ****in fight was everyone watching? FOTY? This was a ****in straight beat down. Im a huge Zab fan but come on. Zab landed like 5 good single blows the whole fight and that was it. He got murdered. What was all this **** about Zab showing heart? Thats not ****ing heart. All he did was stay alive for 11 rounds but he's in NY and it was his final chance. He got killed. Anyone can do that. Thats called just being a man. Showing heart is a guy like Gatti who is getting ****ing murdered but is fighting back and still trying to win. Showing heart is Chico getting destroyed but still coming at his man and trying to win. Zab quit in like the 5th round and went into a shell. Why do you think in like the 10th round his dad even told him that your kids and your hood is watching you and are talking ****. It was pathetic. His dad even know that he was being a *****. Since when do you get credit for just taking a flat out beating and surviving without doing anything? E****ally when you have the skills to do something. Thats not heart. Heart wouldve been for him to try harder, let his hands go, and be aggressive. Look at how Gatti was getting murdered by Baldy but kept coming at him. Look how Clottey was killing Chico but he fought back until the very end. Zab quit and he quit early. He was just a punching bag! Dont get me wrong, you dont have to brawl back because thats not alot of guys but like Paulie did against Cotto, you still have to be active and show your spirit. Zab was so lifeless that the only way for Cotto to lose after the 5th round was for Cotto to just completely go into the tank and he has too much heart to do that, unlike Zab.
Also, Sweet Pea was so right. I cant believe no one saw that. I havent heard one fan on here or reporter talk about Zab going the wrong way. If you go back and rewatch it then you can see that Zab got killed all night going right but the few times he did well was because he was going left. Go watch a old Sweet Pea fight. He never goes to his right except for every once in awhile just to keep his opponent guessing. Whenever Zab went to his right then Cotto hardly ever hit him. He had to reach for everything and when he did land it was only one shot at a time. Infact, it would frustrate Cotto at times and he would switch to Southpaw and then wreck Zab. When you go to your right then you make that power puncher always have to pick up and reset because your moving out his range. When you go to the left your walking into the fighters range. Zab walked right into Cotto's power all night long. It was so ******. Sometimes your going to get trapped in a corner but you have to do like Sweet pea and dip & roll out the corner. Zab's dad also sucks. He is the worst trainer in boxing. All he says in general **** that even a kid knows and can see. All he said was for Zab to let his hands go. He never told him to go right one time, he never told him to set traps and throw the straight left when he comes in, he never told Zab to ever go to the body or anything.
Cotto is also being so overrated in this fight. You might ask me how can I say that when he flat out destroyed Zab? He flat out destroyed Zab because Zab was basically a punching bag all night. He's a very good fighter but that wasnt even a real fight. He didnt even have to do ****. Zab did what he always does. He does a little early but then he goes into a shell. I have to pull up the thread but I talked about it on here before the fight. I said one thing I hope & pray doesnt happened is that things start going wrong and then Zab goes into a shell. I said that Zab has done that against bums and it looks bad. The crowd boos and the fight is boring but most of the time he's still good enough to win. He did it to Baldy and Baldy killed him and had him running at times. I said that if this happened against Cotto then it would be brutal. He would kill Zab and it would be embarrasing. Why is credit getting so much credit when he didnt even have to do anything? This was basically the same Zab that fought Floyd. Even Floyd started punishing him but he's obviously not going to wreck him like Cotto. Floyd had him cut up too, eye swollen, and some thought that Floyd might stop him. You just times that by 10 for Cotto because thats Cotto's game. It happened against Baldy also and he had Zab actually running from him but he was too slow and didnt have enough pure power to wreck Zab. This isnt surprising. Basically Cotto threw non stop, nearly all were full blown power shots, and nearly all connected because Zab put up no kind of D, showed no will, and just stood there and took it like target practice. Does Zab even know how to block a punch?
