Peter Manfredo To Face Allan Green on 10/16

Before the Contender, Manfredo has won the NABO Junior Middleweight title by stoppage in 2004.
He was also ranked at #3 by the WBO rankings and was an undefeated prospect.
Then after the Contender, he got Roach in his corner and improved even more.Comment

manfredo isn't as bad as some of these guys are saying, but calzaghe schooled him, and green is much more skilled as a boxer than manfredo is. yeah, green's chin is a lil shaky but this fight will be at 168 not 160. manfredo has a puncher's chance but my best guess is green will school himComment

These are the type of fights Manfredo should be fighting on ESPN, not that mismatch against Joe C on HBO. We'll see if Green has recovered from his ailment that he supposedly had against Miranda going into that fight and what made him pull out of a fight a month or so ago. I think Manfredo is fighting in the wrong division. At SMW he is too small and Allen Green will take advantage of that and I say KO 9.Comment

I think this is a good fight. Peter fights well against taller oppononts with more reach, it seems all his fights are like that. Green has alot of good tools as does Peter, anythin can happen in this fight. But Ill take Manfredo UD. Accurate shots, solid chin. Good work inside.Comment

Good Matchup
Manfredo will win. Manfredo is much improved having worked with Freddy Roach. His skills will be show cased.Comment

Manfredo will lose this fight too. He shouldn't fight at 168, but he'll get his ass whooped by the top 10 Middleweights too. I like Green in a KO.Comment

Manfredo has a very good management team behind him. They really took advantage of his Contender fame to get several good money fights. He jumped at the chance to fight a champion knowing he was overmatched, unlike his counterpart Mora who ran from Taylor.
I think at 168 pounds Allan Green is a much more destructive fighter. Dropping to 160 made him look like a skeleton against Miranda. We should see a strong and fresh Green in this fight, not the drained exhausted man we saw against Miranda.Comment
