Exposed...

Some of you don't seem to understand what this ****ing word means. I have now seen garbage like:

"Miguel Cotto will be exposed by a pure boxer with a great chin and blah blah"

"I think GATTI hits too hard for him at 147.I believe HATTON will be exposed against CASTILLO IF HE actually fights,like he caims,and doesn't HOLD all night."

"Woods would get murdered by dawson, (Glen) Johnson would probably get exposed also."

World class fighters, as Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto, and Glen Johnson have proven to be, CANNOT be exposed. That's just a complete misuse of the word. Hatton and Cotto have both beaten other world class fighters, have won titles in several weight classes, and have proven that they can fight on a high level. Glen Johnson has beaten pretty much every top fighter in his weight class...Roy Jones, Ulrich, Tarver, Griffin, Woods, Harding, etc.

Examples of exposed fighters:

37-0 Marty Jakubowski being beaten senseless by JC Chavez. Jakubowski lost to every decent fighter he faced...while sporting a gaudy 100+ win record.

The Predator was undefeated with 30+ wins over NOBODIES when some ****in guy knocked his head off. He was struggling with guys like Sam Garr before that and he has since gotten gift decisions over an ancient Yory Boy Campas and he got slapped by Bonsante.

I agree.....another example could be Damgaard.....he was exposed by Gatti,he was like 38-0 going into that fight.

good post mate, most people think if a fighter loses a few rounds, gets hit a couple of times, hes been exposed even if they win the fight, could be a bad night at the office or the quality of the opponent. I think its natural for people to say Cotto has a glass chin when hes been wobbled a couple of times, until he loses he ain't been exposed, same with hatton.

when i hear exposed i quickly see michael grant.....people use this word too much especially when tito, miranda, and corrales lost fights oh man were they exposed for whatever reason....they went out and lost....exposed fighters dont beat other top notch fighters.....

Miranda was not exposed by Pavlik; we knew what Miranda was, and the question had been could Pavlik take his heat. That's not exposing anything. Hatton maybe had a weakness or two 'exposed', but in a fight in which he moved up in weight and grabbed a title.

sad thing is tho.. people like hatton and cotto will be exposed.. In a sense collazo kinda did expose hatton.. he throws a combo and hugs... please dont be callin him great.. and cotto, please.. just watch, its gona be brutal when it happens.. it happened to lacy, and it happened to tarver thats for damn sure..
