DLH pricing Mosley out of Cotto fight?

GL: The Top Rank-Golden Boy rivalry has been well documented. Bob Arum recently told me that he'd be willing to sit down and discuss Mosley-Cotto and Pacquiao-Marquez II. Is that something you and Richard would be willing to do?

DLH: "Absolutely. We're obviously willing to give the fight fans what they want to see. If you talk about a Mosley-Cotto fight, I think it's a little too premature at this point. First of all, I would like to see what the numbers were on the PPV with Zab Judah versus Cotto. Then one obstacle we're going to have is with the split. Shane Mosley is the champion, Shane Mosley is the better fighter and he's the guy that everyone wants to fight if they want to fight the best at 147. There's a lot of obstacles we have to face, but can it be done for the fans? Absolutely."

Are you kidding me? "Mosley is the champ??!?!?!?!" He's an INTERIM CHAMPION for the WBC. Cotto holds the WBA and will probably fight for the WBO in his next fight, so Cotto will be the unified champ if they were to try to fight after the Margo/Williams winner. I swear, DLH is delusional sometimes. I'd love to see a Mosley - Cotto fight but not if Mosley is calling for anything above 55%. While Cotto would be the unified champ, I think Mosley's name still has value and he should get an extra 5%, but that's it! 55-45 for Mosley and I think the fight can be done.

BUT, knowing DLH, he's going to want 65-35 Mosley, and that would be a lack of respect for Cotto (although he'd be doing it to piss Arum off).

I dont think to many people believe Oscars nice guy persona...Its just for the cameras and tape recorders.....

That said I believe both fighters wont be fighting each other next but will instead have another fight and depending on the opponents and the way they both win provided they do should be decided...I mean Mosley isnt a draw really for ppv numbers but looks good on ones resume and if he fights another top 5 guy I think 50/50 would be well deserved....I would just hope this fight isnt in Vegas or anywhere on the west coast for that matter.

If it were up to me, Cotto should get the higher cut...I don't give a **** about Mosley's "name", he hasn't done **** recently, and he isn't anywhere near being a household name.

If you make a survey, I guarantee you people would pay for Cotto vs. fillintheblank, as opposed to Mosley vs. fillintheblank. Cotto is a bigger draw, there's no doubt about it. He's the more exciting fighter, AND the better fighter right now.
