According to Dan Rafael, boxing fans should prepare for another potential conflict on September 29 with two must-see televised events going head to head. It's starting to become a normal occurance in the sport.

Showtime is planning to televise Oleg Maskaev's defense of the WBC heavyweight title against mandatory challenger Samuel Peter. Vitali Klitschko is penciled in to fight the winner. [details]

Well the reason these companies do this is because for one they both despise one another and two neither company will back down as this will appear that one company is inferrior to the other. There is no incentive right now for these companies to avoid these conflicts so they will continue until mediation is established.

well, I guess the answer to our problem would be, watch H.B.O. first, to see Taylor get knocked out by Pavlik, then turn it to Showtime to finish watching the 12 round unanimous decision that Peter will get.

Hbo went cheap, they should have just bought the maskaev-peter fight aswell. Who the hell even has showtime, most of the **** they show usually sucks anyways. Hbo is the offical boxing channel.

i dont know some of there fights are good they had bell mormeck

What happened to Calzaghe and Lacy? Both of those showtime fighters switched over to Hbo. Reason being probably is that Hbo offers a ****load more money for the boxers.
