I understand he may have a "Magic Johnson" like situation. But, it's just like the Andrew Speaker situation. (The man who traveled abroad with TB.) He may have not been contagious but he had such a deadly strain that is drug resistant and traveling should have been out of the questions. Because his situation was not full proof. Same goes for Morrison. He may have such a low viral load it's become undetectable and almost in remission, but he has it. He has it. Period. Even if he is not contagious. He has it and he needs to respect other fighters, the sport etc. and just gracefully bow out.

I do not understand why people are willing to fight him.

There is a reason why Morrison is avoiding any place that requires a blood test. He had a fight scheduled in Texas but canceled it when he was asked to give a blood sample to their commission...that speaks volumes. And try not to buy into the lie that HIV and AIDS are two different things.

I wouldn't get too bent out of shape about the Larry Holmes comments he made almost 30 years ago. That was as much Don King driven as anything else. Whenever there is a white boxer and a non-white boxer in the ring, Don King is there beating the racist drum...he did the same thing about Russian fighters coming in but once he got control of a couple he suddenly changed his tune and was talking them up as great champs. Typical of King. And besides Cooney did as much as anyone else to earn a title shot during those dry talent years...it was the media and King who turned it into a racial circus. Cooney and Holmes are friends now and do charity work together. All water under the bridge.

I agree with Holmes on this one. The one caveat with his opinion is that "...the disease he is carrying around called AIDS." Morrison has NOT got AIDS, but HIV which is the underlying cause of AIDS. If he did have AIDS, he wouldn't have the energy to walk around, let alone fight in the MMA.

yeah morrison hasn't had a real doctor step up and say he's negative. until then he has HIV. his promoter/manager signed his tests from what i was told, he aint no ****ing doctor. if he is he isnt a practicing one.

i think criminal charges should be brought on morrison for faking his negative tests. everything surrounding him with getting cleared has been all hush hush and has been nothing but a scandal.

he should be forced to go on public record of taking a test and everyone seeing the outcome. if he is willing to fight in public this should be no different. he wont because he knows his true status, HIV positive. sorry to say i hate seeing anyone with the horrible disease, but he should care a little more for other people too.

p.s. what kind of moron would get into the ring with him anyways. they ought to be subjected to a series of mental tests to see if they aren't ******ed.

AIDS, "Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome", is different than HIV, "Human Immunodeficiency Virus". The syndrome is the disease; the latter is the virus which predisposes one to the syndrome. Snake, I hope you know more about boxing than you do about diseases.....

i read a article back in the day bout a guy who beat up a gay dude and caught AIDS/HIV whatever. It does die in the air but that dont mean it cant be passed in fighting.

Morrison looks like hes got the HIV...when guys get old and come back they are fat. Not sick and sunken looking.
