That's one of the most lunatic statements I have read on this board...he really is a legitimate ex-champion because he got robbed???..legitimate????
Don't be ******,the guy was a stiff and always will be.He might be big and strong and have KO power...but he is wired wrong, and that can't be fixed.Comment

I agree that is like including Dave Tiberi on a ex middle champs list. I always thought Golota had a more american style than the previous Eastern Euro Stiff Straight up stance though. Before him the Euros where a prototype of Andrew Zolkin real one two no hooks or bodypunching style. He was wired wrong but give him a fighters heart and you have a great fighter imo. His combination punching and bodypunching were unusual for a heavy. That's one of the most lunatic statements I have read on this board...he really is a legitimate ex-champion because he got robbed???..legitimate????

Oh yeah,the guy had skills...
But his meltdowns in the ring...the only worse ones I have ever seen were Oliver McCall's against Lennox Lewis, and maybe Tyson's against Evander. Then again, that was not really a meltdown by Tyson...that was calculated to get his punk-ass out of there and avoid an ass-whupping.Comment

Golota is the great champ that never was. He should have been a star, a precursor to the former Soviet Bloc invasion that we have seen today, but he just never was. He was robbed against Byrd and Ruiz, was an idiot against Bowe... He should have been a star, but he wasn't. Offensively he was always good to brilliant, and I don't think his chin was ever as bad as advertised. He just wasn't mentally strong enough and he failed. Now he is old, and still a weak minded idiot. He could have beat Briggs, but I pick any of the four titleholders that we have now to beat him fairly easily.Comment

Rid**** bowe looked like he was in horrible shape for those fights and Golota still didn't beat him. He would have beaten him if he didnt keep low-blowing the out of shape boweComment
