Ice Man Scully, thoughts on the Mercer/Kimbo fight?

You think Mercer is old and will get winded in this MMA event?

What's your opinion about Kimbo's rather agile upper body movement? (I know he was making street bums miss, but he seems to have that potential IMO).

Ever thought how you would fare against Kimbo in a boxing match?

Any other thoughts about the Mercer?

I'm leaning towards Mercer but I think it's a great opportunity for Kimbo. It's an issue of conditioning. Both will go toe to toe but Mercer has a great chin. Kimbo's chin has never been tested and his conditioning has been questioned.
Regardless of these issues, I'm looking forward to the fight.

As far as your question regarding how one would fare against Kimbo in a boxing match; i'd be a running fool and at best jabing here and there. Mostly, I'd run away a lot. Perhaps, let him knock me out just to prove to myself that i'm not a total coward. Picture De La Hoya vs. Trinidad...last couple of rounds.

    Peace.

I've watched a couple of Kimbos fights and I don't think he's all that speical. The guys he fights are normally 20 pounds below him and unfit, I reckon any trained boxer or MMA fighter would take him down with much trouble.

I heard Roy Jones and Kimbo had a little scuffle themselves.

The 1st vids of Kimbo was when he was @ his best.

I recently saw one his more recent fights against a guy named Chico. Kimbo leads w/a jab, Chico shuffles back and catches him w/a right uppercut and drops Kimbo to one knee. Then Chico rocks him w/a nice jab.

After seeing that I think I might be able to K him out. When people fight him they wait for him instead of just putting it on him. He is intimidating looking and think that gets into alot of cats heads.

I think Mercer will stlye on his face like he did Morrison. Kimbo sometimes trys to clinch up in his street beefs when he gets tagged. He'll prolly get rocked early and try the ground. But, he has been quoted that he wants to **** w/Mercer for street credit.

kimbo is being trained by Bas Rutten, one of the best mma champions ever, he will still lose.

I think you guy are giving Mercer too much credit.

Kimbo is training with Bas. Who is Mercer training with?

I don't believe Kimbo is anything special and I'm not a fan, but he is training to fight MMA.

Bas apparently loves him and said he listens well, works hard and is eager to learn. I don't know if I believe Bas, but I do see this fight ending very fast with Mercer tapping to elbow strikes from his back.

When Mercer fought Bojansky in K1, he just quit after the first kick. It was embarrassing and obvious he didn't want to fight unless he felt comfortable. If that single kick made him outright quit, then he's not going to put up with being smothered on the ground and elbowed.

First of all Mercer has some wrestling experience, he did it in school so hes not goin to be useless on the ground. And Kimbo, despite his great desire to learn, hasnt had the time to learn and really keep any of his knowledge when hes in the heat of the moment. He would have had to be training much longer.
