What do you guys think about defence?
I see alot of you guys keep hating on those boxers who excels at defensive wizardry, like Mayweather.
How come you think it's so damn boring?
No, I'm not talking about boxers who's plain scared of being in the ring and running their asses off.
I took note on a Mayweather-thread, so I'll use him as an example..
(God help me)
If you watch Floyd in slow motion on the ropes, I don't care which fight, you'll see that he's not ducking and rolling randomly. He's reacting to the exact punch that comes his way, and not turning away dead scared of being hit. To me, that's pure art. It's beautiful and makes me smile.
Throwing a punch, and maybe landing 3 out of 10, is piss-easy!
Every single boxer in this world manages to throw a punch.
Very few boxers can make a mockery of world class fighters with their back on the ropes without being punished for it.
So, how come the so-called boxing-fans doesn't appreciate mastery of the hardest thing in boxing; defence?
