    David Tua News???..

Anyone heard anything from "Camp David"; is he still boxing or what? I'd like to see Tua fight some decent opponents before he retires but it seems like he's just fading into 'obscurity.' Anybody heard anything?

I would like to see him, evander, savarese, m grant, and other other heavy over 36-37 retire. I dont want to see the fighters I grew up admiring reduced to losing to bums and talking like Sly Stallone in rocky 1 after a bottle of vodka and a xanax. Sorry i cant answer your question though.

Tua isn't that old, he's around 34. He's been in a lot of tough fights though and his comeback fights have been very poor showings. I did see a glimmer of hope in his last fight when he opened up in the last round and showed a little bit of the old Tua. I think if he dedicates himself there's a bit left from him.

Danny, I agree that some 'older' fighters should retire, and stay retired, but Tua has largely avoided taking alot of punishment in the ring(he's usually the one giving it) and think he has a couple good runs in him if he can go thru the training routine...

If Tua really wants to, he could get some big fights and win them; the question is does he want it?

I always thought of Tua as the fighter who "almost was." Great that is! Considering he has never been stopped in any pro fight he may have some pop left in him. I think he could beat sam peter for one if he trained for it. Now you got me thinking, i am gonna dig around and see what i can find about him.

Tua has shunned a couple big fights this year; he first declined fellow Aucklander Shane Cameron and then Lamon Brewster. Frankly, I don't know what his deal is now...
