I hate hearing pepole complain about fighters who run the whole time and BOX!!!! If the creators of boxing wanted no running they would have made the ring 4 feet wide.
Shut the hell up about running please.

I have no problems with being mobile while boxing. I dont like people who run on the ring. There is a difference between runing and boxing. DLH vs Tito last 4 rounds is running. -
the size of the ring aint go notyhing to do with **** even if it was 4 feet wide youd have top run cus of your fitnessComment

Who the **** wants to see someone run the whole fight? Maybe that's what you like, but I like to see the fighters fight. It's like basketball, people want to see slam dunks and 3 pointers, no one wants to see a player dribble the ball without making a shot.Comment

I though DLH did what he had to do to win, and he DID win that fight. Regardless of what the cards were.
Its not about what the viewers like or dont like but what the boxers like. Its a advantage to be mobile. You have to throw though and not just move just for the sake of moving.Comment

The sport needs to be revamped.
Ref's need to be re-trained.
I was watching a MMA fight the other night and the ref told both fighters to get busy and mix it up. He told them that the first person to start running would be deducted a point.
Holding is illegal in boxing and yet far too many fighters get away with holding and yet he does nothing more about it other than continue to repeat himself through out the entire fight.
I hate hearing a ref repeat himself over and over and over again, saying, stop holding.
Last night I watched a MMA fight. Spencer Fisher "The King" vs Sam Stout.
It was a war. That is fighting!
How is it that these karate, wrestlers are doing a lot of boxing/fighting?
There wasn't a single take down, and no hugging.
That is fighting!
All that shiet about running and jabbing all night. That ain't phuking fighting.
Not today.Comment

The only real reason why alot of boxers run now is because of the commerical aspect. Back in the day, you HAD to be exciting to get title shots. If you were boring they wouldn't match you up with big money fights and you couldn't expand your career. Here, you have guys like Spinks and Mayweather who try to be more like showman and box and move and make it look slick and entertaining. How wrong they are..
People want to see knockouts.Comment

Actually, boxing originally had infinite rounds. The only way to win was via a KO or stoppage.
So, if you want to argue about what boxing is supposed to be, I'd imagine that's a good indicator.Comment

Saw that fight and both guys ****** ass, and for that to be a UFC headliner is a travesty. Actually kinda normal for KFC. I'm fat and out of competitive shape and still woulda KO'd either one of them in the 1st. You need a MMA forum cuz your high on it.Last night I watched a MMA fight. Spencer Fisher "The King" vs Sam Stout.

standing in the trenches and just trading blows is not boxing. Boxing is the art of hitting and not being hit. Its not about hitting, standing there waiting to be hit and then hitting back. Itrs an art. Those who have never studied it will never understand the damage that is incurred during a fight.
Sure, the common fan likes to see wars. I like to see wars sometimes. But I do understand what will happen to a fighter who just stands in for wars all of the time. Arturo Gatti had to be the most exciting fighter I have seen in the last 10 years, he was a war dog. But now in his older years he has resorted back to the "boxing" skills, with movement and a good shade of defense.
A fighter who ****s all through his career will pay the price. Sure there are those who have come out of all of the carnage with little signs of brain damage, but there are many more who have stepped away many fights too late and the damage is irreversible.
What you guys have to understand is that these boxers are indeed human beings. They sweat, they bleed(and you love it) and they except damage to the mind body and soul.
Boxing is an art. Brawling I guess you could say is an abstract form of the art. So as an artist would you rather paint in a formulated and structured fashion or would you rather your opponent just take your paint and splash it all over the canvas. If my paint is my mind I would choose the structured fight.
Granted, boxing is about fighting. But boxing is not a one page book. YOu have to have defense or you most likely will not survive. You will definately need some offense. You will need conditioning and stamina and you will need balls. God gave each boxer two legs, I dont see a problem in using them.
Maybe instead of yelling at the mover maybe you should rip into the stalker. Tell him to cut the ring, tell him to go in rolling under and to keep moving forward with punches. Maybe you will tell him to throiw caution to the wind and to just get in there and chase him down. If he is unable to do these things then it could only be said that he was purely out boxed. Out boxed, get it?.........................Rockin'
