Kessler - Calcaghe. Waiting for Warren to sign.

    Translated from www.teampalle.dk

Team Palle accepts Warrens new demands.

The unification between the top two smw's Kessler and Calzaghe, is closer to reality than ever before, after Team Palle reconfirmed their original offer to Frank Warren, and furthermore accepted more Warren-demands to the contract.

"When Frank Warren last week told the press, he'd accepted our original proposal, and Calzaghe was ready to go to Copenhagen in the fall, he left out his new demands."

This Sunday, never the less, Mike Marley - our lawyer - could inform Frank Warren, that the demands would be met, in order to get the last obstacles out of the way, for the fight everyone wants to see.

"When team Palle now has followed every demand from Frank Warren, the only thing that could get in the way would be if Warren gets cold feet at this point."
It’s all up to Warren now.

Mogens Palle adds; Only if Warren matches his own demands, could he move the fight to the UK.

Very good. And seeing as he's agreed to Warren's acceptance and terms of that acceptance, there can be no issue with the fight being in September.

Now that Mogens Palle have accepted all Warrens demands (2 times) only warren himself can stop this fight, and then getting the title: the biggest coward in the historie of boxing.

If it affects the possibility of Calzaghe fighting Hopkins/Wright in January then of course it ****in matters.

All because Palle wants his party. Well, Palle, you can do one.

You seriously think Calzaghe would fight that soon after September? Ha. The man is known for taking 6-8 month leave of absences. September or November, the soonest you'll see Calzaghe in the ring again is next spring and that's only if he doesn't injure his hands "attempting to" sign fight
              contracts.

Given the money he's likely to get from such a fight and his upcoming retirement I dare say he'd struggle through.

Eh, I'm still having trouble seeing beyond him breaking a finger while clutching the pen at the negotiating table. The odds surely agree with me given the track record.

Calzaghe won't come to America, so I doubt we'll ever see him fight either Hopkins or Wright. Hell, they're having a hard enough time getting him to fight in another part of Europe...
