You Guys Are Blind On Floyd

Now Cotto beats Zab and here come a thousand hate threads on Floyd again. The guy is retired, plain & simple. When Floyd 1st said that he was going to retire then no one believed him. They all thought he would fight again. Now that you find out he's telling the truth, you all are mad. Most of the haters say so many ****** things that deep down they know arent true. You can say you hate Floyd for whatever reason but please stop with the "Floyd's scared" crap because you all know thats not true. Are you guys really going to try to convince yourselves that Floyd is scared of Cotto and Hatton? Do you really believe that? Come on now. You know that Floyd not only believes that he would win but win easy. Wether its true you can argue but you cant argue the fact that Floyd believes that.

All these guys had there chance. How come no one talks about that. Floyd offered Hatton & Shane fights in public and we all know that Arum wasnt letting Cotto near Floyd. Now Floyd say's he's retired and now the other guys want to fight but Floyd's the punk? How can you guys say that? What would you same idiots say if they were calling Floyd out for years but then they retired and now here comes Floyd calling them out. All of you wouldve killed Floyd for ducking them and then would rip Floyd for now trying to fight them when there retired.

Most of you on here just hate Floyd. Why do you want him to fight these guys anyway? All I can read about is how boring he is, how you would never pay to see him fight, and how your glad he's reitred because you dont want to watch him anymore. Now those same guys are ripping him for it. The fact is that you guys just want so bad to see him lose and thats it. You hate the fact that he's retiring undefeated. If Floyd is so scared of these guys then why did he challange them from the jump? Why is Floyd scared of Cotto for beating up Zab but just fought Oscar who is much bigger and has been in with legends? Alot of you say Floyd is scared of Cotto because he looked so great. Then how come Floyd wont fight Hatton? Hatton has looked like straight crap lately but Floyd wont fight him either. Is that because he's scared? He wont even fight Hatton right now in the US. He's retired.

I honestly believe that Floyd is kind of like Bernard. Hopkins always said that he would retire at 40. He said it all the time but never did it. I think Floyd has always had his mind made up that he's not fighting past 30. Alot of guys see a certain age as a cut off point but none of them can stick by it. I also recently made a thread talking about how I think Floyd is just sick of boxing. He has literaly been doing it non stop since he was a kid. He just doesnt want to fight anymore. Its all he knows and he's tired of it. He wants to take time off, get in a studio, start his own business, and they were even talking about giving him a reality series. Those things excite him now more then boxing. He also spent his whole career chasing the big money & fame Oscar fight. He's got that now so he feels he reached all his goals and everything he was chasing. If this was 2 years ago then Floyd would be fighting these guys but I honestly dont believe he has it in him anymore unless its another big money mega fight with Oscar.

    PART 2

The bottom line is I understand people wanting Floyd to fight these guys but the fact is he said he was going to retire and thats that. Its just like when Barry Sanders, Jim Brown, and others retired. It sucks but it is what it is. People act like Floyd's 24 and is just yearning to fight. He's not. It doesnt drive him anymore. You think he just picked a conveniant time to retire? Its not his fault that these guys are ready to fight him now. He shouldnt fight just to fight and he shouldnt even fight for his legacy. If its not in him then its not in him. If he doesnt have that same drive then he shouldnt do it and if he did have that same drive then trust me he would be fighting. Still, for you guys to say he's scared is a flat out joke. Atleast stop saying that because you know that Floyd doesnt believe for one second that guys like Cotto or Hatton can beat him.

You guys get mad when he doesnt give fighters credit but why should he. Most of them dont like him and diss him all the time but he should say all these great things about them? Im still not a 100% sure that those guys want to fight except for Mosley. I still dont believe that if Floyd said yes that Cotto's team would accept and I think Hatton wouldnt just jump straight to Floyd either. There just saying that now because they know where Floyd stands. Why should he fight now just for you guys? If he doesnt want to then he doesnt want to. Again, its not like he's fighting other guys. He's not fighting period. He's a rich man now and he wants to do other things. Maybe its even getting harder for him to train. He wont cheat himself. He's not going to fight just to fight. He's not going to half ass it and go into the ring. Like he said, its to the point now where people just are waiting to see him lose and he's not going to stay around until his skills diminish to give you guys the satisfaction.

He's not sitting around wanting to fight but not doing it because he's scared of those guys. That doesnt make any sense. You think he's really going to do that? You think he wants to fight really bad but wont do it because these tough guys are out there? No, he doesnt feel like fighting any more. Its not burning in him. All his life this is all he's done. He wants to live a regular life now. Maybe in 6 moths he'll get that feeling but not now. You know if he comes back he wont come back just for a chump. He'll want a big money fight with Cotto or someone. What if he tries to do other things but he doesnt get that same spotlight? You dont think he will make a big splash return like Sugar Ray Leonard? I could see him not wanting to fight again but then Cotto beats a couple of guys, is the most hyped man in boxing, and then Floyd challanges him on the PR parade in NY for a mega fight

Damn DLT, you have alot to say.lol. But thats good though. I think Floyd feels he has nothing to prove at this point and hes at a point where he can only get up for the big fights.(like a DLH)(NOT physically, I'm talking mentally at this point). I think Floyd wants to fight guys like Trinidad and DLH because theres alot of money and those are mega fights. He feels fighting guys like Hatton and Cotto wouldn't be as big and he wouldn't get as much money. So hes bored. I'm not saying its right for him to feel that way, I'm just saying thats probably whats hes thinking...

Why is floyd retired at the age of 30, and only having 38 fights. 38 fights is not alot of fights to retire with, when theres people out there who can beat the ever-living **** out of him.

dlt, you are a great poster man. i must comend you on your logical explanations and wel thought out threads and posts. i'm proud to be apart of a forum you are involved in brother. you really know your ****. it's just sad, that people will think what they think and disregard any type of fair and decent posts like your and mine for that matter. we make great points but people think like they think, and it's not our jobs to change their minds. all we have to do is what we do, and our thoughts on this forum speak for themselves.

Just how you were so convinced Oscar was going to?

Now you're on the Cotto bandwagon after being Oscar's #1 fan.

i hope floyd stays retired to tell you the truth. he's too arragant for someone that needs to still prove himself as many think (fact). i think he's bad for boxing, he dosent put on a good show in the ring. the sport of boxing should have it's all out wars, that's what the fans want. i mean what fight would you rather watch, the cotto-judah or the odlh-pbf ? that's a no brainer. pbf has so much skill that he's boring, no one wants to watch a points fight, you wanna know sometime during the fight if someone's about to drop. in a pbf fight you just wonder how many points is he gonna win by, as both fighters leave the ring with hardly a blemish on their faces. i for one will never buy a floyd fight again, waste of money

Dear DLT. I did not waste my time reading your Floyd loving letter to us.

                Get off his huevos.

Floyd has already said he would come back only to fight ODLH.

                Phuk him and Phuk you.

You are the monkey that is blind.

                You send him your money.

                I am done.

He is already rich and you want to make him richer?

He has been playing the low risk high reward card for a while now.

Make him earn his money not dance his way to a decision.

Do you enjoy getting phuked out of your hard earned money?

If you paid me to clean your windows and I only and I did not do a great job would you hire me again?
Why do you people continue to hire Floyd when he is not doing his job as a fighter. He is ice skating to victory. Enough is enough.

                Stop being a sucker.
                You sucker!
