The best is yet to come!

Out of his last 3 fights Ive seen Cotto take on 2 very tough south paw welterweights and look about as impressive as one could ask. His main weapons the left hook and jab are very difficult punches to land against southpaws yet he still found a way to make both of them very effective against Zab and Quintana. Outside of Luis Collazo all the best south paws in the division have been bested, and ahead await either Paul Williams, Antonio Margarito, Shane Mosley, Kermit Cintron or the elusive and self proclaimed retiree Floyd Mayweather jr all are orthodox fighters which in itself will lend to Cotto's tools of destruction. Im not saying any of these guys will or wont give Cotto tough fights but just wanted to point out that the two most impressive performances of his career have been against south paws who knew how to move and punch, a combination most orthodox boxers spend their careers avoiding. I think the kid can only get better.

    Good stuff, Freedom.

Miguel Cotto is an extremely ambidextrous, powerful, stalking destroyer.

I like the way he can switch stances and move.. Sweet stuff.

He needs to tighten up on the defense quite a bit though..

With his style the way that it is his career could be shortened by brain injury.

He clutched a few times in the post fight interviews and I could see he sustained a little bit of damage in his cerebral and neural..

I'd like to see him get hit less.. And less directly and powerfully.

He takes clean hard shots to do his damage.

Can't go on like that for very long..
