That's just total boxing blasphemy as far as I'm concerned.

If they fought at the same weight both in their primes Roy would be defeated. Floyd has yet to get KTFO by average fighters.

Boxing is competing with MMA and this sport needs exciting fighters to take away MMA's momentum.
Bob Arum and Dan Goosen now have the right idea about finding and promoting fighters, not runners.
This sport can do with out the Corey Spinks and Floyd GayWeather Jr's.
They don't come to fight. They pit pat a nikku to boredom.
This breed of a fighter is on it's way out.
Thank God and good residence. No one is going to want to promote these running hom0s in the future. They have been killing the sport.
Hey I am not saying that their styles make for the most exciting fights. But I have respect for skilled boxing. You can say what you want about Mayweather, Spinks, or Malignaggi but you can't win as many fights as they have without hitting people. If you match any of them against the right opponent it makes for quite an exciting fight. I thought Mayweather was the aggressor against an old Gatti and he pressured Judah from round 4 onward. Malignaggi v. Cotto was a tremendous fight. Part of the reason these fights were interesting is that the stalker didn't have someone who was there to be chopped down in 1 or 2 rounds.

Without his speed Roy isn't much. Without his speed Floyd is still a great counter puncher and has great defense. Floyd would have never been caught like Roy was.

Read that again, and then think really hard about what you're typing.

Roy got to essentially 50 and 0 minus the DQ loss against Griffon. Floyd hasn't fought nearly as many fights, and just to refresh your memory:

Roy was washed up and weight drained when he was knocked out by Tarver. He moved all the way up to heavyweight, ruined his body by moving back down and lost the reflexes he once capitalized on.

If you were to say "oh well just wait ten years and see if Floyd is still undefeated" then maybe we'd have common ground here.

As it stands comparing a fighter in the spotlight of his career against the backdrop of a fighter who moonlighted in terrible fashion is absurd.

Yeah the last part(the KTFO) was just to **** on Roy lol, but I still think Floyd is the better boxer, and more complete. I can't say what would happen cuz Roy is 160-170's and Floyd's best is 130's and early 140's.

I'm sorry but Floyd and Hopkins>Roy Jones

                Ok that's enough.

I'm just not going to respond to that level of nonsense anymore. That's just ****ing ****** and there's no other way of putting it.

Let me fix that IN PRIME I'd give it to Roy.

Last 3 or 4 years Hopkins

                  Floyd>Jones I'm sticking with.

maybe i saw i different fight....but this so called "Guido" as someone referred to paulie gave cotto the toughest, at least one of the toughest fights of his career ( & cotto acknowledged that)....all this fighting injured & hurt early.....u can also make the argument that if it wasn't for the knock down paulie wins or gets a draw (do the math)....i would definately say the broken orbital bone is what kept paulie from boxing cotto's ears off
all this from a RAW kid who took cotto on in his first step up to the next level. could have been intersting if PM had some more expierence under his belt, NOT BAD FOR HIS FISRT real test & first time in trouble.....PASSED W/ FLYING COLORS IF U ASK ME.....
as far as pm vs pbf.....if u like quick tactical fights....could be a good boxing exhibit.....but not a FIGHT......
styles make fights & they are boxers (but PBF definately runs & pitty pats too much)

How can anyone hate on malinaggi? He sounds so much like squiggy from laverne and shirley, it's hilairious.

Seriously though, his fight with cotto was pretty good. There's no need to hate on him so much.
