I think because Barrera insulted Morales by calling him Indian.It's sad but in Mexico being called that is like a derogatory term. Even though Mexico is about 85% mestizo which is spanish and indian, the indian blood is always put down as backwards and unintelligent.

It's true , just look at the mexican soap operas and you'll never see a darker skinned actor in a lead role. They come out as maids or butlers and that type of ****. I was born in Chicago but lived in Guadalajara, Mx for about a year back in the 80's and plus my family tells me the that attitude does exist.It pisses me off because like i said 85 % of the population is mixed so i don't know why people would be ashame of their own blood. The status and structure system is set up in a way that if you are fair skinned and blonde then you are more valued.It's pretty ****ed up.I say all these things because i am Mexican by blood American by birth.

it was a dispute over who was the better rapper, biggie smalls or tupac? morales was backing BIG and barrera was a fan of tupac. Over the years those two guys could not settle on who was the better rapper so hatred grew from inside from that point, leading to them fighting in the ring three times.
